Ridgewood Country Club
Played On 09/27/2018Nice property for condos
Ridgewood has a very nice clubhouse, tennis courts and pool. Matter of fact if not for the awful golf course this would be a nice swimming club. The only ones who could enjoy this course are miniature golf enthusiasts. The only thing that differentiates some of ridgewoods green from a miniature golf course is that they haven’t yet installed the wind mill and clowns mouth. Six of the nine greens on the front nine and four on the back can only be repaired by a bulldozer. In reality the only hole on the course that is of high quality is the par three 10th hole. If you have any appreciation for quality golf course design then this is not a course you will want to play. The club house at Ridgewood is very nice yet for some odd reason many of the members prefer to eat and drink in a dingy filthy basement room adjacent to the locker room and bathrooms. Course conditions were terrific the greens superintendent deserves credit for putting lipstick on this pig. The golf staff is incredibly friendly. This is a terrific club if not for a terrible golf course. Turning this property into an upscale condo complex would be a better use of the land.
Ridgewood Country Club
Played On 09/12/2018Land better used for condos
This club has a very nice clubhouse although for some reason members seemed to gather in a dirty disgusting cellar adjacent to the locker room and bathroom. The course itself is not worth playing. Several of the front nine greens would simply be ripped up and redone by anyone with any knowledge of golf. The only high quality hole on the course is the par3 tenth everything before and after is like a miniature golf course complete with windmills and a clowns mouth. Having said that the course was in immaculate condition and the golf staff couldn’t be nicer. Bottom line is as far as a good course you can find better at almost any local muni. Hard to imagine that this is a private course. How do they find members willing to join?
Hudson National Golf Club
Played On 08/14/2018As good as it gets
This course is spectacular in every way. The views are amazing, the conditions of the fairways and greens are second to none and the challenge of the layout would be a good test for a PGA professional. There just isn’t a negative comment that can be made about Hudson National. If you ever have the good fortune to play here drop everything and enjoy the day. This is as good a golf course as you will find anywhere.
South at Carmel Country Club
Played On 03/29/2017Great club
From the staff at the bag drop to the club manager everyone at this club was wonderful. Friendly and welcoming these folks made it a pleasure to play Carmel. We played the south course which everyone in our group agreed was the best course any of us had played in Charlotte. The layout was fantastic, the course conditions were excellent, it just could not have been better. If you have the opportunity to play this course don't miss out you'll love this place.
Anglebrook Golf Club
Played On 05/06/2015Northern westchesters best
While this course is extremely private, if you have the chance to play here put aside everything else and take it. This is the last course designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr. And has all the characteristics of his other great designs. There are large fairways and greens which put a premium on your approach shots. The golf and dinning staff could not be better. The course itself was not in good condition at this time, the greens were in poor condition. Clearly the greens staff had made some very poor decisions with regard to the maintenance of the greens and getting them in shape for the new season, but even with that the course is a real Jem and should be on everyone's list of places to play in Westchester county.
Somers National Golf Club

Not for a big hitter but a good course for older players. Course conditions were not good.
Trump National Golf Club - Hudson Valley
Played On 04/16/2015Must play
Big modern layout that is in great shape. The staff at this club is as good as it gets. Brian the club manager, Lisa in the dinning room and the head pro Shelby all go far beyond the norm to make you feel at home here. The Trump group have done so much to improve this facility and they seem intent on continuing with improvements. Weather you play here as a guest or join as a member you won't be disappointed. This club may be out of the way but it is worth the trip.
Mahopac Golf Club
Played On 11/01/2014Stay away
This course is over one hundred years old and should be on everyone list of places to play if you appreciate golf history. The course is certainly different from any of the newer designs you might play in the area. The course was in decent condition but the rest of the facility lacked any sense of proper maintenance. Poor management has clearly left this club in bad shape. If your planning to play Mahopac do it quick because from the looks of things it won't be around much longer. Certainly not as a private club.
Pound Ridge Golf Club
Played On 09/17/2014Only missing a windmill
Nice scenery and good course conditions. This course has fairways cut into the side of hills, large rock out croppings in the middle of greens and more rocks in the middle of fairways. This course is so contrived that it's much more like a miniature golf course than a real test. Save your money.
GlenArbor Golf Club
Played On 09/16/2014Great time
The entire staff at this club is first rate. The food is fantastic the practice facilities are second to none and the golf staff is as good as anywhere. Just wonderful people who go out of their way to ensure you have a perfect day. The course was in great shape with fast greens and manicured fairways. If the chance to play here presents itself don't miss out.

Love this course. Very scenic track in the middle of nowhere but if you have the time to get there you won't be disappointed.
