Sun City Country Club
Played On 12/08/2018$6 for GPS
They finally got a GPS unit on the carts. Instead of building the cost into the price of a round, they try to charge extra for using it?! $6?! Only if I knew the $6 was going into a cut down 100 trees fund! Way too many trees in shot lines! Several tee boxes have giant trees in the shot path of tee shots, some have trees over hanging your approach shot lines. Tough is tough, but fair is fair. Okay, but there is better value out there
Hillcrest Golf Club at Sun City West
Played On 10/14/2017Coming out of overseed
Fairways and greens were in good shape, but a little furry, coming out of overseed, understandable. We were confined to driving rough only, that was in horrible shape! Mud tracks, exposed gravel, and grass stripped to soil. Front side sees more traffic than the back and it's obvious! Hard time justifying $40 green fees, but I get used to the $20 rates in the summer.
Palmer Course at Wildfire Golf Club at Desert Ridge
Played On 05/26/2015Great complex!
A resort layout and well-kept throughout! Solid practice area, driving range, chip/sand green, putting green. Great conditions throughout, GPS helps with some of those shots you just can't see where NOT to miss. Some interesting split fairways and a few blind shots, but not so many as to make it unfair, for a first timer. Greens receptive to shots and putt medium-fast. I'll be back again!
Falcon Dunes Golf Course
Played On 05/20/2015Great mix of holes!
Great mix of short and long holes. Rolling fairways and green that receive shots well! (Is that Bent?) Tired of courses that are flat, and always shoot into some elevated green that reacts like someone's patio? One of the top rated US Armed Forces courses! F-16s and F-35s over your head, the safest course in the world! Reveille at 5pm!
North Golf Course at Sun City
Played On 03/09/2015Setbacks since re-opening
Played it right after it had re-opened, appeared to be in solid shape for being rather immature. This visit revealed some setbacks to the course blossoming into a solid course. This course sees a lot of traffic and needs some time to mature after re-opening. I really hope they are able to get the greens into shape. Started out on back, 10th hole, hit a 56 into the green....no ballmark? Solid, very firm, did not hold many shots. Putting was okay, fast faster fastest, but seeing pitches and chips skid then take-off was a little ridiculous. Short course, should move faster than it did, decent layout, but needs time to get into shape. Good value, but wait a year?
Golf Club of Estrella
Played On 12/17/2014TOUR CONDITIONS
Excellent course! Greens were extremely fast! Practice at home on your driveway before you get here...SERIOUSLY! Greens hold shots very well, even backed some up Fairways are excellent, nothing but square divots, buttery! A lot of holes to score on, but you need to control that flat-stick! Worth every penny! I will definitely be back!
Eagle's Nest Country Club at Pebble Creek Resort
Played On 11/18/2014Snob-a-torium!
While the course was in fair to good condition, for the amount of rounds it must see, one Ranger can ruin your whole experience. Our group, a collection of strangers, was berated by a ranger for having 3 carts among 4 players, a rather minor inconvenience for the course. This guy should be isolated to the range cart so people can hit balls at him all day long, or some other position where he doesn't have to interact with the non-members of his semi-private club. The purpose of exposing this course via GolfNow is to attract potential new members, a crowd I would include myself into. Hearing the ranger tell another member of our group, "THEN LEAVE!", as he was explaining the reason for not dropping the cart at the turn. Thankful I only paid $24 on a HotDeal! Don't golf here, they don't want non-members here anyway!

Solid maintenance leaves great conditions. Great value! Every time I have played this course I am always surprised to see the conditions, especially for the low cost of green fees! The practice green is cause for some concern, but once you are on the course you'll find the greens are excellent! Firm and getting fast, I think they were letting seed take hold.
Sun City South Golf Course
Played On 11/08/2014Good value!
A great value for under $25 with cart. I had several 8s, 9s and PWs skip off the back, found some luck with SW shots, as the greens were very firm. Some long holes, #3 456yd Par4, #7 574yd Par5, #11 212yd Par3 with a false front...a fair challenge even for low HCP players.
Grandview Golf Course at Sun City West
Played On 11/04/2014Nice design, great for all levels!
My only complaint would be that the greens were extremely firm, leaving no ballmarks and holding no shots. It must've cost me about 8-10 shots!
Wapicada Golf Club

Old course, some long holes, not much for trouble. Most greens are tilted back to front, without many features, but always in good shape, firm & fast. Good practice area. Wedge hole between 4 & 9. Many loyal local members.
Union Hills Golf & Country Club
Played On 12/17/2013Firm and fast
Nice short layout, some long par 3s. Could not make a dent in the green, they didn't hold many shots, including chips/pitches. Greens putted very well, but very fast, did not take much of the breaks. Above the hole? You're dead
Thank you for playing Hillcrest Golf Club, and taking the time to fill out the online survey. 'Now that we are a couple weeks past overseed everything has been cut down to normal heights. The cart path restriction has been lifted and carts are now allowed in fairways. We do hope to see you back at the course again soon!
