Played On 06/21/2019Nice to see a Ranger
A lot of vacationers today and having the ranger out on the course kept things moving nicely. They should put the phone number for the Patio Cafe back at the tee box on 9 to save time on the turn and make sure the phone works so the gals can take your order.

Played On 08/28/2016Still a bargain
Nice course with most greens still in good shape despite the oppressive heat the past two weeks.
Ocean Resorts Golf Club
Played On 07/16/2016Sneakily Tough little course
Play the first 3 holes well because starting with the fourth hole this course gets tougher but I love it. The course was in great shape and the greens were excellent and true.
Douglaston Golf Club
Played On 06/23/2016Great Shape for a public course
Greens were in great shape and true - we were a twosome with a threesome in front of us and a foursome in front of them and yet we played 18 in 3 1/2 hours
Palms at Palm-Aire Country Club
Played On 02/18/2016Good value
The course is in good condition, the greens are true and we played 18 in 4 hours having to wait to hit on only one hole.
Championship at Hillcrest Golf Club
Played On 02/09/2016Greens ugly but true
Nice little course in good shape, the greens look an ugly brownish color but are true and a nice test.
West at Orangebrook Country Club
Played On 02/05/2016Better than the East Course
Played the east course yesterday and the west course today. No comparison between the conditions. Apparently the heavy rains last week stayed over the eastern portion of the course because the mud and standing pools of water were on at least 8 of 18 holes. This course only had one hole with any significant mud. The closing hole is always a challenge.
The Bay Club - West Course
Played On 05/31/2015Sailed Through 18 holes.
We had a 2:36 tee time, arrived at 1:45 and once we carted up were allowed to go right out at 2:00 PM. The course was open and we played 18 (with about a 15 minute snack break at the turn since there was nobody behind us) in 3:20. The course is in great condition and the greens are true with a couple of difficult pin placements to keep things interesting.
Pine Hills Country Club
Played On 04/22/2015Pro Shop Not Very User Friendly
We were scheduled for a 6/22/15, 1:50 tee time for two, purchased 2 days in advance. On the morning of 6/22 the weather forecast changed to severe thunderstorms for about 4:00 PM that afternoon. We were able to change our schedules and we headed out to Pine Hills hoping to get an early start. We arrived at 11:50, 2 hours before our tee time and we were thrilled to see that nobody was waiting to go out - the place was a ghost town. We entered the pro shop and approached 'Mr Congeniality' who seemed really thrilled to be there. We explained to him that we were able to get out East early because of the severe weather scheduled for 4 PM and we were hoping to get out early to get most of our round in. Mr Congeniality's response (a white male about 65) was "You booked that online. We don't make any money on that so I can't send you out before 1:50 PM". When I pointed out to him that there were NO golfers waiting to go out his 'professional" advice was to call and cancel the GolfNow reservation and pay him to go out now. We retired to the bar that was upstairs, met a very nice bartender and watched out the window for the next 90 minutes and not one foursome went out. At 1:20 we went back down to officially check in and Mr Congeniality now states "I can send you out a little early". So by the time we loaded up the cart we got a 20 minute head start on what was for the most part an abandoned golf course.
Except for the curmudgeon in the pro shop the day would have been a perfect five, the greens which had been fairly recently aerated were true, course conditions were excellent for so early in the season and the course and restaurant/bar staff other than Mr Congeniality were all very competent, accommodating and friendly. And we finished 18 holes in 3 hours and 5 minutes (didn't run into a single golfer out there).
Forest Park Golf Course
Played On 04/09/2014Short but tight
I like the course - fairways are narrow but with the short course recovery shots get you right back in the game. A couple of holes back up but then the course suddenly opens up nicely.
We love hearing about our golfers' experiences, 97collinsd. Please tell us more about what you enjoyed during your round. Thanks for choosing Plantation Lakes Golf and Country Club!
