Customer Service - Bogey

The course is fantastic - one of the most fun and challenging layouts in the area. Risk/reward shots on almost every hole and it is in great condition.

The overall experience though is lacking for the price charged. Unfriendly/unhelpful staff and patrons who make the place feel like public golfers are an unwelcome nuisance. The Members can basically walk to the box and tee off whenever they please, messing up the planned tee sheet and pushing your scheduled time to whenever they please. The range machine did not accept the code given by the pro shop and they would not refund me.

There are similar courses close by of equal challenge, price and condition with a much better customer experience.

H2O in the Desert

Really fun and interesting course setup. Greens were a bit dry and hard, but they rolled fast and true. Considering all of the water they could have spared some for the grass. There is a lot of distance control via water - you’ll keep your driver in the bag for a lot of the day

The course layout was very fun, with interesting holes that never felt repetitive. There was a good mix of challenging holes and some shorter scoreable holes. You still have to make good shots as the greens are challenging with multiple tiers but in great condition. Approach shots are key. Pace of play was pretty standard for a busy Saturday. My only complaint were the course conditions, too many holes with muddy, soggy fairways that ate clubs on contact. The bunkers are being played as ground under repair as they replace the sand so I give them a pass on those conditions. This course would be much more difficult with in-play bunkers.

The greens are a bit hard right now from the lack of rain and roll faster than normal, but still in great shape. They’re always fixing bad bunkers, greensides and tee boxes so you know he fees aren’t wasted. Always a fun and challenging course.

Pace of play ruined a great course

Start with the pros: the course is really a lot of fun. It's challenging, with good distance and forced carries that will challenge your long irons. There are a lot of risk/reward plays. The wind in the afternoon takes a challenging course and makes it truly difficult. It is a fantastic layout and the maintenance is there to match.

Now for the cons: the pace of play was just bonkers. We teed off with 2 clear holes in front of us, by the 4th tee box we caught up and had 2 groups waiting to hit. The rest of the round was like that for every single shot. The group in front of us left after 9 holes and we still waited on every tee box, approach shot and green. The starter was not on the same page with the club house with which groups were and weren't checked in, and there is no marshall on the course to manage slow groups. The "semi-private" aspect allows members to show up whenever they want and demand a spot on the tee. Despite the "pace of play is 4:30" signs posted in every cart and clubhouse, it took us 5 hours and 40 minutes to finish 18 holes. For a $95 greens fee that's unacceptable, they need to schedule tee times further apart.

It's just a shame because it's a beautiful, well designed course but every round I've played on either course at coyote creek is like this. Despite some of the higher greens fees in the area they do not give you the value for the price and it ruins an exceptional course.
