We usually play here once a year, driving from Dayton. It is worth the drive. Course was in good to great shape, better than most public courses. Greens rolled true, fairly fast. Great layout and if you like to play in a natural setting away from housing and roads this is the place to go. Overall a great experience, my group agrees to keep this course in our rotation for next year.

Great condition, great price. Course is playable but has plenty of trouble if you don't keep it straight. Greens are challenging with lots of undulations. Definitely worth the drive from Dayton

I love the layout and challenge of this course. Unfortunately the condition of the course continues to decline. Greens were recently aerated, which is fine, but now have large dead spots that are uneven leading to extremely bumpy greens. These are the worst greens I have ever played. Sand traps are more like weed pits, fairways and tees also over run with weeds. The course was not worth even the $13 hot deal

The Outside eighteen holes also known as the Hills Course at Community golf center is a nice mature layout. The course is hilly with many elevated tees and a lot of mature trees.
Difficulty is probably closer to easy than Challenging, but there are plenty of difficult holes, along with some fairly easy short par 4's and par 5's.
Condition of the course is also pretty middle of the road. A city of Dayton golf course, it is maintained but far from pristine. Greens are pretty good, but tees and fairways are often not in excellent condition. Usually not in poor condition either though.
The course is not expensive and a pretty average value as well.
Drawbacks of the course are it can be busy at times with slow play along with average condition . Advantages are nice hills and trees with good vistas and fun elevated tees. Overall a pretty nice golf experience.
I have been playing this course for thirty years and it continues to be a challenging and fun course.
