I wasn't impressed with the course conditions. The greens were ok but the fairways and rough were in horrible shape.

Beautiful course and facilities. Highly recommended.

Good maintenance and greens rolled well. Just a little pricey for a park district in my opinion. I take advantage of the afternoon tee times when the price goes down ($41 after 2 pm.)

I Highly recommend playing the CC of Orange Park. The course was in great shape, greens ran true and it is definitely a challenging layout. We had a great round and will come back for sure.

The course layout was fun and challenging, The greens were absolutely horrible and totally ruined my golf score. There are bare spots, sand cover, and we truly had 2 greens out of 18 that rolled somewhat true. There's practically no sand in the traps or the traps were compacted as hard as concrete. My mistake was thinking this course would be really nice because it is in the Sawgrass complex... major mistake.

My friends and I were very impressed with the conditions of the course. The greens rolled true and the course is quite challenging with a lot of water. We enjoyed our day and plan on returning again.

Fairways and greens are in good shape. The sides were dry and hardpan in some areas. If your ball hits the hardpan you get big bounces and odds are it's going lost or OB. Lots of tall fescue makes you keep the ball in play. Most holes plays independent of each other so you usually can't play a hook or a slice off of another fairway. Strategically placed sand traps in fairways and around greens. Watch the layout on the card as water comes into play and you can't see some of ot from the tee boxes.

The course is in great shape. The value is good for the average golfer. The clubhouse is like new and food was good. I played on Mother's Day and it was wide open.

You can't expect to play in the Chicagoland area in October and not have some leaves to deal with. For an early Sunday afternoon round, South Shore had leaves everywhere including the middle of the fairways. The turf condition was awfull, looking like sparse growth filling in after a possible drought and burn out from summer heat. I was surprised the greens were in decent condition although they were on the small end of the scale for size. The tee boxes were below average and require maintenance.

The course has 4 par 3's on the front 9. They were all challenging. The condition of the greens was above average and the ball rolled fast and true. I would recommend getting the course layout book for 1st time players. This was a super value at $46.50 cart included. No GPS, so have your own.

I caught this special at Brolen Arrow, Lockport, IL on GolfNow.com for $36 including cart. The course was in great shape and the rating from the Blue tees is a tough 133. The pace of play for us as a 2-some on a Sunday mid-morning was an astounding 3 hours.
