Myself and my good friend Dimbleberry decided to tackle The Hilton Puckrup Hall on this bright and breezy Wednesday morning, with coffee in hand to warm us up it was straight to the first tee, to our delight a short Par4 with little danger, perfect for a short iron to ease your way into the round, however, neither of our brains had decided to function and we both pulled out driver, less said after this the better. Moving on the views and rolling hills of the Cotswolds in the distance were a sight to behold, unfortunately for me I spent so long in the bushes I felt more Ray Mears than Danny Learz, anyhow, before I waffle on (wink) the hotel, course and staff were all excellent, would truly recommend and of course… the day wouldn’t of been complete without the delicious cream tea afterwards. Visited the Wiltshire around 2 months ago and gave it 4 stars, however this time left rather impressed at recent developments on the course, one member told me they held a European Junior day the week before and it was easy to see this was true. For £25 will definitely be back, I just hope they keep the pricing the same.

Upon arriving at The Wiltshire I was greeted in the main reception by a helpful young gentleman putting me in the director of the head pro who make check in simple and off we went on our round. Luckily the weather was great and after completing the first couple of holes and ventured out on the 4th the mass amounts of countryside was quite the spectacle. After finishing the round we headed to the bar and albeit it a little quiet could see had just gone under refurbishment. Other aspects require a little attention but overall a great day out and will hope to return again one day.

Came here with my friend Brendan and upon arrival we’re both amazed with the state of the art clubhouse which was recently refurbished to my knowledge, staff were friendly and gave good advice, the course itself played well and definetaly a course for the better player, to shoot my +5 I’m not afraid to say a little luck was involved. Hope to be back sooner rather than later. Amazing.

Superb day today at Gloucester Golf Club, first time playing here for a couple of years and have to say we weren’t disappointed, the course itself was in fantastic condition, the Par 4 - 5th is much improved with water added before the green which makes you think about your club choice off the tee, moving onto the back 9 and the 12 in particular I can’t commend the course maintenance team for the tremendous green they have installed, with the pin position on the front it made going long a tricky route back to the pin, I did however make a par lads! Overall well worth the money and will hope to visit again soon! Thanks Gloucester Golf Club!
