I expected more since its in Mt Dora and its a country club and the price is on the high side. Had to walk from the clubhouse to the driving range because no carts were available. Obviously they had over booked for the day and the pace was affected by it. Tight fairways and the condition of the course was ok but cant be compared to a high end course. Some of the greens were in good shape others were not. Very unforgiving course. Seems like if you make a mistake on a hole its really hard to recover from it. Will stick with other courses that run about $5 cheaper but the experience is much better.

The condition of the course has been going down hill. For $10 it could be worth the money if you don't have high expectations and you live in the area. Its always a good fall back if you cant get a deal somewhere else but I wish they would do some work on it. Some of the fairways are a little tight and the greens are tough to work with so I typically have a slightly higher score here then normal.

Last time I went to plantation I played otter creek and was not thrilled. Seemed a little tight on the fairways. Of course the weather was terrible so that could have had something to do with it (I'll probably try it again). However my experience at cranes roost was very good and it could become one of my favorite local courses.
