Herndon Centennial Golf Course
Played On 09/26/2015Herndon makes you feel good about your game
Herndon's wide fairways and limited trouble make you feel good about your game. Even if you spray the ball, the course is very forgiving, and fairly short. One of my favorite courses to play.
Reston National Golf Course
Played On 08/30/2015Great course
This was a very enjoyable experience. Even though Reston National is a busy golf course, they do a great job of maintaining pace of play so you can finish in 4 hours or less. My only negative is the inconsistency of the cart GPS. It was spotty initially and we should have just requested a different cart right away instead of waiting.
Prince William Golf Club
Played On 05/25/2015Don't oversell tee times
Prince William is a great course that can be played at great value. It is in tremendous shape. The greens roll true, and the staff is friendly.
However, it took us 40 minutes to play holes 1&2 because of pace of play. This is worse than normal, but it is still an ongoing issue.
I would be fine paying 4-6$ more for a round if it would eliminate the pace of play issue that we have dealt with the last few times.
Twin Lakes - Oaks Course
Played On 10/28/2014Longest rough
The rough is so long here that you can mark exactly where your ball went in to the first cut and still can't find it unless you step on it. Highly penalizing for a mid range muni.
