Booked a Friday morning tee time with no alert on Aerification. At check in we find out the greens are being aerated, ok, whatever no big deal. I thought with the recent rains the fairways would be in great condition but I was a bit wrong. The grass has grown but they haven’t cut it. The rough is rough rough… the rough at Torrey Pines looks like a fairway compared to the routers at Mtn Meadows right now, if you don’t keep it in the fairway say goodbye to your ball. The greens are super sandy. The tee boxes are nothing special. The service, drinks and food were amazing. Getting drinks and food at the turn was probably the highlight, they have an amazing staff in the bar and restaurant area.

The fairways are in great condition, the tee boxes are getting worked on right now, the greens are excellent. This course is all about course management. Lots of dog legs so you'll have to make sure you use the right club. We came out to play and pick up a wedge one of my buddies left behind the week prior. Thankfully, someone found it and turned it into the pro shop. That day I also happened to lose my phone! I called the pro shop the next day and again, someone turned it in! There's something to be said about the community that golfs at Anaheim Hills. The grill makes some amazing food too! Also - if you forget your cigar, no worries. The cart girl has them in stock :)

Alhambra GC is a hidden gem. Beautiful course in LA with great greens and bunkers. Par 4’s are reachable and the whole course is easy but challenging at the same time. The practice area is excellent. They have the range, putting greens, bunkers, and chip areas for practice. I hate that they don’t give anything for a hole in one! I got one and asked about it and said they used to give a small trophy but not anymore due to COVID. However, Nicole from the grill gave me a shot of my favorite whiskey…. Bummer because I wanted that trophy but thanks Nicole for the shot! And yes, I did buy drinks all around :)

I checked in and paid for my tee time 40 minutes before tee off. I booked a two-some. When my tee time rolled by I find out that the dude at the clubhouse gave away my tee time to someone else. When I went to ask him what was going on, he told me to just go after them. Not cool... first rule of Golf is to respect the tee time. Plus - we were racing against the Sun...

Where do I start?

Very old carts - they feel as if they’re going to break down on you.

Starter is on point. Two thumbs up.

Fairways are OK.

Greens need work.

My biggest issue was all the droppings in the tee boxes. Grossed me out and I just had to take off. Paid for 18, played 9.

By far the worst course I have ever played on. The fairways were non-existent. The greens... what greens? They should close this place down... plain and simple.

This course has been one of my favorites to catch a good fast paced game. They do a good time at marshaling the tee times, no real waiting or groups waiting to tee off. My only complain was the upkeep during the Covid-19 closure. There were a few holes where I couldn’t easily get my tee in to drive off. Also great value....

I love Hidden Valley... but I will not play here again unless I am with another person in my household. Hidden Valley does not follow Covid guidelines and they pair you up with a stranger to ride together. When you ask for your own cart, the staff gets very defensive and there is no changing their mind. They do not care if you have underlying conditions. What’s funny is that they have three carts on the side with a divider as dictated by the county ordinance but those are the only carts like that and I think they just have them there in case they get audited. Poor poor management during the pandemic.

Los Amigos is a great course and one of the few around that have actual and playable bunkers!!! I hope they open the practice areas soon. The staff at Los Amigos have been great in maneuvering through this pandemic.
