Played On 09/28/2014Fast Greens, Slow Pace of Play!
Haven't had to putt on greens this quick for a long time. Very challenging as far as that goes. The rest of the course was moderate, although a touch dry for this time of the season when most courses have plush fairways.
We had a tee time just past noon, and our round took 5 1/4 hours to complete. Constantly waiting for the backlog of groups ahead of us on the front nine. The rest of the long duration is probably attributable to the lengthy distance between holes. Not a very pleasurable layout for walking--recommend renting a power cart.

As an experienced golfer, I came to work on my short game. The small greens require accurate tee shots, which is great. The greens are surprisingly in very good condition, aided by the slightly "shaggy" length of the grass.
I noticed groups of youths (reportedly from a summer camp) that were having a great time on the course, but tearing it up in the process. The maintenance person will be kept quite busy repairing all of the damages left behind by these kids and their power carts.
I actually witness eight (that's right, 8) kids riding on a single power cart--never seen anything like that before! They rode up onto tee boxes, and around the perimeter of greens, leaving awefully deep scars from the tires on the soft, wet turf.
There needs to be adult supervision on this course in order to avoid expensive repairs that will have to be recouped from paying customer in the end. The place was only being run by a couple of teenagers when I was there (Friday afternoon).
