Del Tura Golf & Country Club - South/North
Played On 02/17/2017Great Executive Course
We played the North course - which our partners said they thought was the most difficult. It was a tough course. Par 4's and 3's long enough for a driver (for me; not the guys); lots of sand that I found too often, and water (which the guys found often); very tricky greens. A nice challenge.
The condition of the course was really good considering the lack of rain in the area. Some greens showed it; but most did not. Fairways were in very good condition.
Because the other two 9's were tied up; our pace was slow. Double that with a short course and you get slow play. But the couple we were paired with, that live on the course, were very friendly and the round was enjoyable.
Lot's of wildlife on the course, the course loops through the housing complex; a very pretty place to play.

Pace of play was horrible. Waited on every hole. Not good for my game! To be fair, there was some work being done on the front 9; so everybody started on the back. But, I've never seen them start on the back to better pace anyway. And, by the time we got to the first tee; they had let all these groups "jump" ahead of us. They should have been made to wait since we were making "the turn" and had priority. Ranger just drove around and didn't do anything to help. We will never-ever play this course again.
Besides that; the Par 3/two Par 4 course was well maintained. Good for the short game. Staff was not overly concerned about a infrequent guests to their club - I had to ask questions, nothing was offered.
In short; too big of a price for short course.
Good golf!
A busy course; but worth it. Pace was slow. Course was well kept, lots of water and sand. Fairways are wide enough though; but not all. Some accuracy is necessary.
Will play there again.

This is a great course. My only fear is that by giving it a great review; too many players will book tee times and we will be shut out.
The course was in good condition, staff was very friendly, pace was good, it was challenging enough for me (not the hardest and not the easiest) and overall just a great day.

The course is under some construction; but it did not impede on our play. Staff is very friendly and pace of play was great. Part of the back 9 is along I - 75; so a few holes are a little loud.
Narrow fairways and water increase the course's challenge. Fairways not in great condition; I think because of the construction. Front 9 was in better condition and the course runs between homes.
Few gators in the ponds so don't search for water balls.
Poor planning on part of Copperhead Administrators
We were looking forward to this round since we had played this course frequently in the past. But, when we arrived we were told there was a shotgun outing going out ahead of us. Why did the club gurus schedule an outing mid afternoon and in between tee times?
Our tee time was 25 minutes late. We had to wait on every tee box, for every fairway shot, and on every green!!! Thank God we had only planned on playing 9; if we had played 18 we would probably still be there.
It was difficult to get beyond this poor planning on the part of the course to evaluate the course. But my husband and I did notice that is was not as nice as it was in 2015, 2014, 2013. The fairways were poorly kept and the greens sandy.
I will not play this course again this year. Maybe next; but I will never follow a shotgun start again!
Wildcat Crossing Golf Club
Played On 03/13/2016Very nice course
This is a hidden treasure in the Fort Myers/Cape Coral/Lehigh Arces area. The course is in very good condition, fairways green and greens smooth. Challenging with water and sand traps; I choose to lay up in several fairways; which was the best option for an intermediate golfer. It helped my overall score in the long run. But any level player could get around this course nicely.
Rates are lower on weekends; so be aware it will be crowded and pace maybe slower. During the week, rates are very reasonable especially with golf now.com. It is a great value.
Hi Ann3556673,

Cape Royal Golf Club - Queen/King
Played On 03/28/2015Messy Greens
The greens were in poor condition. Many areas repaired with sand and dirt on greens. It looks like they may have had a problem with insects that hurt the greens.
Fairways were okay. Course is fairly challenging with water, sand traps and forced carries.
Staff was friendly. No starter. Senior group in front of us was driving all over the course, close to the greens, leaving ruts - they had a handicap flag and so do I; but I would never drive in areas they did. A course marshal is needed!
Myerlee Country Club
Played On 03/15/2015Short executive
Short executive course. Greens not that great; lots of repair work and weeds. Fairways okay. Quite a bit of water; but with tee placements for red and gold, not much of a problem.

Very well maintianed, friendly people, some really challenging holes with water, some long holes that require driver. Good variety.
