First time back to the Phoenician since the redesign (they consolidated 3 nine hole tracks into one 18). New layout much improved, back nine is very memorable close to Camelback Mt. Fairways and greens both in good condition even right before winter over-seeding.

There are a few very long distances from green to the next tee, but not really a problem in a cart. Only downside was the massive construction of homes on the grounds; this is obviously temporary.

Enjoyed playing the Stadium course & playing the holes you see on TV during the WMO coverage.
Second time playing the course, but first time in the summer. Definitely plays a lot easier without the long roughs, Bermuda rough was not much of a penalty. Greens were still in good shape. Thoroughly enjoyed it and summer rates make it more affordable.

Early morning summer tee time and the weather was great. Course was also in great condition except a few bare patches in the the fairways. Greens were smooth and fast.

My favorite Scottsdale track and it did not disappoint, summer rates makes it more affordable as well.

I always love playing at Troon North when I come to Scottsdale and this was no different. End of September and the weather was absolutely perfect.

A week before shutting the course down for fall over seeding, greens were a bit wet and spongy compared to usual and practice range was closed.

Very nice Arnold Palmer desert golf layout. No tricked up holes, all trouble is out there visible. Beautiful day, beautiful course. Also got a good early afternoon rate.

This was a very fun course giving you a real feel of being on a links style layout with loads of hidden pot bunkers and mounding. I would have liked to see more guidance on the scorecard or golf cart about the layout of the holes, standing on the tee box one doesn't know where to hit your drive or at time even where the fairway is. Course was beautifully maintained and in great condition; only complaint was the grass on greens was a bit long which combined with grain of the greens made for difficult putting. I don't know if it is always like this or just the day we played. Overall it was a great experience and I would play it again during my next visit to Orlando.

First time playing Boulders; course was in immaculate condition and desert vistas and panoramas as good as any in North Scottsdale. Added bonus that Carefree seems to be 5-8 degrees cooler than Phoenix. Fully private country club experience at a reasonable price in early September when I played. Had a big rain storm the day before, so there were a few holes where you could not take the carts on the fairway.

Originally booked this course on Golfnow.com thinking it was a different one (how silly). While it as a bit of a trek from where we were staying in North Scottsdale, I have no regrets. The course was in pristine condition, the pace of play was good and the people I was paired with were very nice. The layout was both challenging and memorable (almost broke 80 which also helps!!)
