This course has changed ownership, now named Bear Valley, and is in as fine a shape as I have ever seen. Good mountain/flat land golf (a mixture) in a very scenic and historical setting. Club house is open for lite meals and dinner on Wednesday, as is bar area. Snacks and cold drinks are available in the pro shop otherwise. Also restaurant is open Friday and Saturday.

Greens are excellent for this time of year and weather conditions. Fairways still somewhat dormant, should green up nicely in coming days. Staff and other players extremely helpful/polite and genuinely interested in your opinion.

Course has recently been punched and recovered nicely, ready for play.

Greens much improved over prior years. Play still somewhat slow with fivesomes allowed, and poor golf etiquette thrown in. Pro-shop staff very polite and accommodating hence slowplay with above. Would recommend this course if you have the time and with luck, you may "Play through".

For some unknown/unexplained reason "Cart Path Only" on day of play meant undue slow play. Staff in lounge very indifferent. Pro shop staff and starter not on same page. Have played here several times, this was worst experience.

Course in excellent condition, greens putt very true, and staff are among the friendliest I have ever encountered. All adds up to outstanding golfing round.
