The Vineyards Golf Club
Played On 10/12/2017My Current Favorite Course
Only the second time I've played here since moving to a house in Olde Vine October, 2016, as it's pricey for me as a retiree. The area is kind of a mecca for golf courses, and each one course has a character of its own, but The VIneyards is by far the most interesting course--after just two times playing it (and I did not play well either time) it's the most fun of all the local courses and my favorite one to play. I like that it's short enough one doesn't have to crush the ball on just about every hole; but I appreciate that it's so well-trapped that it's not an easy course. I just wish it wasn't so pricey, so that I could play it more than once a year.
The Vineyards Golf Club
Played On 11/16/2016Fun, Challenging Course
My wife and I moved into a house at Olde VIne, just off the 11th green in October, 2016. This area is in the heart of Suffolk "Golf Country," I'd have to say and The Vineyards is a great part of that.
It's not the longest of course, but is so well-trapped and the rolling terrain on spots makes this course a very real challenge.
The course is a bit pricey for me and a membership is a bit much for me at this time, but thanks to a site like GolfNow.com I played once before the weather turned and plan to play that way next year.
I am by no means a good player now. But I hope to be after next year. Playing the different courses out here--hopefully, more and more on my "home course," The VIneyards would be nice--I hope to improve markedly.
