ChampionsGate Country Club
Played On 05/09/2019Under Par
Booked a $39 round with NO taxes. Ended up paying $45 including $3 tax. Round included Complimentary bottle of water and Hand Towels. You guessed it No water or Hand Towels. We were caught in a heavy downpour and had to leave the course when playing the 3rd hole and could have use the hand towel that we didn't get because we were soaked to the skin. The course was OK but there was massive new housing development on the front 9 with sub standard direction signage to guide you round the course from holes 4 to 7. All in all we didn't get value for money which seems to be a recurring theme at Championsgate CC. We've been playing this course on every annual trip to Orlando and we always seem to leave the course with something not quite right. This year my group of 9 golfers have played several courses for the same or less money and felt that our overall experience has been much better.
Ventura Country Club
Played On 04/19/2018First Time at Ventura
We played Ventura CC for the first time today to start our annual 2 week trip to Orlando. This is our 10th trip. We all thought that this course provided excellent value for money. $32 each. Although the course is comparatively short the amount on water on the course more than compensates for it's shortness. We will definitely play this course again on future trips.
Kings Ridge Golf Club - Kings Course
Played On 04/25/2016Another Great Round
We always play King's Ridge Championship course when we make our annual golfing trip to Orlando. This was our 6th trip and the 6th round at King's. We were able to get a Hot Deal this year so the $27 round ( £19 ) represents great value for money. The clubhouse facilities are a little basic but we never consider anything but the golf course when planning which courses we will play. We are flying to Orlando for our 2017 trip later this month and King's Ridge is high up on our MUST PLAY list for every trip.

The Club at Eaglebrooke
Played On 04/25/2016A Florida Gem
We have played this course on each of our last 2 annual visits and found EVERYTHING to be exactly how anyone would want it to be. Perfect course with brilliant practice facilities. Some easy holes and some really difficult ones especially Holes 2, 17 and 18. The food in the restaurant was delicious and inexpensive. We also found that the clubhouse was busy with many members some of who we enjoyed a good laugh with. We are coming back to Orlando later this month for this year's annual trip and The Club at Eaglebrooke is right at the top of our list of MUST PLAY courses.

Highlands Reserve Golf Club
Played On 04/24/2016We have played Highland's Reserve on each of our last 4 annual trips to Orlando. It's now high up on our MUST PLAY courses whenever we visit. The course is always in super condition. The only disappointment is that there isn't a proper clubhouse to enjoy a cool draught beer in after your golf. You can only get expensive canned beer so we usually don't stay which is a great pity because everything else about the place is spot on.

Providence Golf Club
Played On 04/23/2016Divine Providence
We always play this course whenever we take our annual golfing trip to Orlando. We have played this gem of a course during our last 6 trips. We stayed in a villa on the course on this trip so we were able to get a good deal at $29 for twilight golf from around 2:30 onwards which ended up being a perfect time to play.

Oaks Course at Stonegate Golf Club
Played On 04/21/2016Oaks are better than Cypress
We played this course for the 2nd time. On our annual trip to Orlando ( this was our sixth trip ) we played both courses at Stonegate Golf Club during our 2014 trip and found that the Oaks course is by far the better course compared to the Cypress course. What you see is what you play on the Oaks course but there are far too many doglegs on the Cypress course which means that we won't be playing it ever again because for Senior golfers it's too difficult.

Lake Wales Country Club
Played On 04/28/2015Lake Wales GC
Eight of us played this course for the first time and all of us found it to be very ordinary. The staff were very helpful and most of the greens were in good nick but many of the fairways were a bit tatty. We ate in the clubhouse after our round and we found the burgers and dogs were tasty.

The Plantation Golf Club - Otter Creek Course
Played On 04/27/2015Good Value Golf
This course is very pleasant to play. Fairly easy front nine but a fairly challenging back nine. On the back nine if you hit a bad shot you WILL be punished.
We paid about $24 which we thought was good value for money.

ChampionsGate Country Club
Played On 04/26/2015NO CLUB CHAMPIONSGATE
We booked this course with the Dealcaddy offer for Unlimited Golf. Although the course is in super condition the facilities are appalling. We arrived at the main gate about 20 minutes before our tee time to be told to get to the course via another route. Having followed the instructions we arrived at a locked clubhouse ( not opened yet ). By this time we were late for our tee times. When we eventually arrived at the temporary wood shack we couldn't park on the new car park because although it was finished it hadn't been officially opened. We had to park about 300 yards away down an estate road and make our way in 90 degree heat.
The course was immaculate but we all found it tedious to play Holes 1 and 2 then have an 800 yard drive to Hole 3. It seemed that you played each hole and then had to drive hundreds of yards to play the next hole. When we finished our round the wooden shack only had expensive beer cans at $4.50 and prepackaged sandwiches. No changing facilities etc. Since we were staying in a villa less than one mile away from the course we said that we would use our own facilities and come back about an hour later for another 9 holes using the Unlimited Golf offer that we had paid for. We were informed that we couldn't leave the course if we wanted any extra golf. I spoke to the manager at the course about this and he told me that this was their policy. We left the course and will never be returning if this is the way that this NEW course treats it's customers.

North Course at Highlands Ridge
Played On 04/24/2015High Class Highlands Ridge
Having visited Orlando for the last 5 years we decided to head south to play some new courses in the Lakeland area. The first one we tried was Highlands Ridge GC. What a great decision this was. Everything about the place was perfect. We will definitely be back next year.
Dubsdread Golf Course
Played On 04/20/2015One of Orlando's Gems
We finally got to play Dubsdread GC after 5 yearly visits to Orlando. We paid an extremely competitive rate of $25 but all eight of us agreed that it was money well spent. We will add Dubsdread GC to our list of must play again courses each time we come to Orlando. We played the course in just over four hours.
Harmony Golf Preserve
Played On 05/04/2014PERFECT HARMONY
We have played this course every year since our first trip in 2010. The course condition is always good to excellent. The pace of play is also good at just over 4 hours. I would recommend this course to anyone as marvellous value for money.
