Chicopee Woods Golf Course - Village Nine

This is a good course in good condition. Played Village/School courses (3 nines here) Village hardest , School middle and Mill easiest. . As long as your playing from the proper tees for your handicap you can achieve a good score. Get on the wrong set of tees and your gonna have a long day. The hills will make sure of that.

Chicopee has a challenging but fair layout. The course has just enough hazards to keep it interesting but not slow down play. As B long as everyone plays from the appropriate tees the pace is good and posting a good score is well within reach of all levels of golfer.

Chateau Elan Golf Club - Woodlands Course
Played On 05/07/2017Third time playing this course. Enjoyed all three.
Value for the money response is based on paying at reduced rate. Had I paid full fare I would have been disappointed. The fairways and tee boxes could use some attention but were very playable. The layout is a good mix of target golf and let it fly golf. The greens are in very good shape challenging and fair. Reading greens is not my strong suit but I was quite pleased with my reads. Not sure if that's because they were straightforward or I was just "on" today.

Rocky River Golf Club at Concord

Greens are great. Layout was very good. Overall condition was good. Driving range was poor. On cart GPS is a plus to justify price which I thought was a little steep.
Olde Sycamore Golf Plantation

Was having a good to great round. I was paired up with a nice couple the staff was friendly and the conditions were good. Then 7,8,9 threw me for a loop. Two triples and a double. I would like to come back and give that stretch another go. So...

I've play this walkable course alot and find it to be just enough of a challenge without being too difficult. Even if I'm not having my best day I can have a few good holes that keep me coming back. The greens are the best in the area during the cooler months but seem to always lose their luster during the dog days of summer. The renovation was supposed to cure that inconsistancy but the grass choice has been questioned. My toughest hole a short par 4 #4 with a difficult landing area and a 2nd shot to a elevated green. don't go left, right or long all bad. The Range is so-so But the staff goes out of their way to be friendly. You'll have a good time.
