Castle Bay Country Club
Played On 04/24/2022Meh....but upgrades coming.
They have new greens being installed mid July so they aren't doing anything to then now....lots of bare patches. As always, moist fairways, dry rough, okay tee boxes and traps. The cart GPS was off by 10 yards and pin position was not updated to the current locations. Bonus for having water on the course and a cart person making rounds.New range balls too.....should be a good fall season.

First time back in a long while. The greens have mostly come back but there are a couple of bare spots here and there. Middle of the road green speed but they roll true. No accoutrements available at the turn and no cart person takes this down a notch. The course highly favors a draw shot off the tee but still manageable with proper placement. Perfect weather and we'll return before the cold sets in!

Sent us out to play Heron
/Ibis behind some incredibly slow players. We skipped a hole to move ahead and didn't pick up pace until we made the turn into Ibis where we were alone. The fairways are in good shape. The greens were recovering from top dressing and were sandy. The Ibis track was even worse. Fairways are still in good shape but the greens were in poor shape with diseased areas and very recent top dressing. It looked like snow from the tee box. Terrible bunkers, no rakes, no maintenance. No water on the course, no sand provided to fill divots. No cart person with refreshments......used to be a premiere course.....don't know what's happening there.

The greens are perfect! Fairways are hard due to the lack of rain and will punish you on good shots with the extreme roll out. Tee boxes are so hard you'll need a hammer to insert a tee...when the house has more water it's much better. The greens really are spectacular!

Dead, barren, hardpan fairways. Painted greens that are fast and true. In the summer this course is one of the best. Winter hasn't been kind and the course shows it. Staff as always are very friendly and professional. $29 would have been a fair price.

The course is wet, did I mention wet? The ground was saturated from tee to green. I live in the area but we haven't had rain in a number of days so I don't know what was going on. Only six holes were "cart path only" and that was a plus. The greens were in great shape but very slow....spongy almost.
Thank you for reviewing the course. Your feedback about the course is important to us. With the recent rain we are working to get everything up to par. We have projects ongoing and the current condition is by no means the standard we strive to achieve. We are going to escalate your feedback to our team so we can make improvements before your next game. We will continue to work towards an excellent experience by using your comment for guidance. Thank you for playing Rivers Edge Golf Club. We hope to see you again soon.
