Not to be confused with Seaford Head GC, (which is a fun course, but short, by the way) Seaford GC is one of the best in East Sussex, on a par with Crowborough Beacon, Cooden Beach, Royal Eastbourne, Willingdon and the other top courses in the area. The course and club are maintained to a high standard. The course layout is a very good challenge for players of all handicaps. You’ll do well to play to your handicap here. First class greens. Great views of the sea and the cliffs at Seaford Head.
Cooden Beach Golf Club

I have played this course 4 times, and I recommend it, it is rated in the top 20 in Sussex... and there are many top courses here so that is no small accolade. Given the long hot dry spell we had recently, it was in tremendous condition, it is a very well maintained course, tees, fairways and greens were all excellent.
It was largely sunny, but being right next to the sea, and sort of linksy (it's not strictly a links but has many of the same features), inevitably there was a breeze ... which was good, because that makes the course like all good links courses.
It you want a proper game you must try this course, and look and GolfNow for a good rate.

We played on a Sunday afternoon in glorious sunshine, there was virtually no man made sound to be heard ... no roads, no planes.... and being on top of the Downs there weregreat views toward Seaford Head.
Clubhouse is nice, but the course is super, immaculately presented and maintained. Greens were flawless and quickish but true.
The course is of a fairly normal length 6234 yards of the yellow tees, but as there is only one par five, that means the par 4's and the one of the par threes are pretty long, making it a decently challenging course. there are very few courses where the SSS of the yellows (70) is higher than the par (69)... but this is one of them and anyone would do well to get 36 points here. I imagine it is very difficult in the wind, being only a mile from the sea.
All in all highly recommended... you are missing a treat if you don't play here. Standard green fee is £45 GBP, but we had 4 players at £24 each on a Golf Now special offer, and the other 4 @ £30 (£120 for the fourball pre-paid online) so average £27 each which was great value for money given the location and condition and overall quality of venue and course difficulty.
