Our tee time was pushed back by 20
minutes because there weren’t enough golf carts for our twosomes to go out. That was disappointing because we weren’t able to finish our round due to darkness as a result of cart shortage.

The course is well maintained despite the dry and hot summer. I am very impressed by how well the greens are immaculately kept, despite a few ball marks left unfixed by golfers. Fairways are reasonably good, with a few spots under repairs. Overall, the course is holding up very well this late in the season. Will keep playing here until it closes for the winter.

Played On 04/22/2022Slow pace caused by alcohol-drinking golfer
The foursome ahead of us got rowdy after we complained about their drinking and slow pace of play. They heckled us because the marshal told them to speed up their pace of play. This’s regrettable and the course management should do something about it.
We apologize for the pace of play issue you experienced and for the behavior of the group ahead of you. We always try to keep a great pace when having our golfers on the course. The course seems to be well organized. We checked in and out quickly with the club attendant and off to the tee in no time. The fairways are well kept and greens well maintained. It’s truly a real gem in the midst of an urban landscape.

The best thing about this course is its staff working there. Friendly and eager, they get you out there as fast as they possibly can even if it’s not your reserved tee time.

Enjoyed the course layout and its impeccable conditions. Fairways are well kept and pace of play was great. Will definitely play there again.
Preakness Valley Golf Course - West
Played On 09/23/2017Excruciating slow pace with no rangers to patrol the grounds
I had a 1:48 tee time and didn't get up 30 minutes later. They overbooked too many golfers without consideration for reasonable pace of play. I also waited 25 minutes for the cart because they were all taken by earlier players who were still out there.
Very disappointed with the slow pace which took me almost 5 1/2 hours to complete.
The staff there needs to manage the number of golfers so that we can come back and enjoy golfing. What happened on Saturday 23rd is not acceptable.

A beautiful course with some challenging holes. Staff is very friendly and helpful.
Most par 4 holes are short but require accuracy.
