About

Still long off the tee, if I took the time to really practice I could take a few shots off the handicap. Seems that I have 2-3 bad holes a round surrounded by many good ones and the occasional surprise eagle. I don't believe in the "yips". Just get up there and strike the ball!

Eagles - Forest Course

Really enjoyed a fun round of golf at an excellent course. The greens were in tip top shape and rolled smoothly. Probably around a 10-11 on a stimp meter. The staff was exceptionally friendly. I would highly recommend this course to everyone!

Tough links course especially with a 20 mph wind.

Greens were fast due to the windy condition. The collars of some of the greens were too wet to play as a links style course, a chronic greenskeeping problem at this course. One reason that the designer, Ray Floyd won't come back and visit.

Course demands accuracy from the tee box. Several "surprises" await the player on his/her first trip around the well manicured and designed course.

A bit surprised by the amount of rain water that was on the course after the pro shop said they hadn't had much rain. Standing water in many traps and some were nothing more that "mud pits". I'm sure when they dry out that they are well maintained and functional. A beautiful course with some wicked greens, I'll return when it dries up a bit. Charlie, Decatur
