Magnificent piece of property with a gorge providing beautiful views in the valley. Course was in great shape. Greens were a good speed. For a public course I was delighted with the absence of unfixed ball marks on the greens. Will play it again now that I know about the few blind shots.

Good conditions. Good pace of play. Tee was wide open all morning. Maybe five groups. Makes me wonder if their green fees should be $69 instead of $99. And n which case I would play there often.

Fair for the green fees but not a penny more. Too many other courses in better shape in the area. Staff was great.

Played here in 2018 and had little good to say. They didn’t have a starter. Now they do and he was very pleasant and helpful. The greens were awful. The greens now after the rebuild, are terrific. Faster than Southern Dunes greens. Overall, White Heron is in good condition and fun to play. We will return before the end of February. Pace of play was surprisingly good. We finished in 4:25 and that included a delay at the turn as we ordered some hotdogs and they took a while.

Bent Tree is a fabulous layout. East to see that it was high calibre enough for the LPGA. It suffers presently from the trauma caused by the two recent hurricanes. Significant tree damage in every hole. I couldn’t expect the business as usual course maintenance budget to restore the course in such a short period. I will definitely return in a few months as the course comes back to life. In the meantime it plays just fine. Greens are very good.

Course is in much better shape than when I last played it ten years ago. Excellent greens.

We played the course in December 2019 just as we started hearing about Covid-19. It was in rough shape. Needed some TLC and upgrading. I am pleased to say two years later the course is recovering nicely. Fairways have almost come back fully. Never a poor lie. The greens were much much better and were rolling around 10. The design and layout is clearly an Arthur Hills styled course. Will play there again soon.

Played this course 8-9 times over the last 10+ years while in Florida on vacation. I am a fan of Ron Garl’s designs and this one is right up there with the best. Greens are always above average. 17 and 18 might be the best two finishing holes in Central Florida. Good value on GolfNow at or below $50.

Very nice old resort course but has seen better days. Good value for the fees they charge but if you are looking for top quality greens, you will be disappointed.
