The tee boxes and some areas of fairway around the greens were a little rough, but the greens conditions made up for it. Excellent greens for a muny. Moderately fast and ball rolls true.

This course is in great condition. Fairways perfect, greens perfect. No complaints.

First time playing this course in last 6-7 years and I’m impressed. Used to play it a lot and then it turned into a goat ranch. Something has definitely changed and the course has improved immensely. Greens are lush, but a bit slow for my liking. Grass appears to be overseed from winter. Will be interesting to see how this course does once it heats up and the Bermuda gets going.

Played the course today and I think the greens are the best they’ve been in years. Fast and firm..just like they should be. Fairways a tad long for my taste, but that’s just me. There’s nothing wrong with them.
Some tee boxes could use a little work, but overall the course is in great shape. Can’t wait to play it again.

I’ve played this course many times and it’s in great shape. The greens could be a little faster, but overall very nice. No hidden surprises here. Generous fairways..especially on the last 9. The 3rd, 4th, and 5th holes on the last nine is one of the toughest 3-hole stretches of golf in the area. They play very long when hitting from the black or emerald tees. The last nine is also the longest of the 3, but has the widest fairways.

Too many elderly 2-somes holding up play. Hard to get going when it takes the group in front of you 3 or 4 shots to your 1. Greens aerated not long ago and are coming along nicely, but still bumpy. Tee boxes need work. Other than pace of play, it’s not bad for less than $30 but lots of other courses in area.

I've played this course many times and it's in really great shape. Greens roll well, but some are treacherous. Knock it a little too hard and you're off the green.
Elevated tee boxes and greens with some deep valleys on some holes definitely adds challenge to the course. Unfortunately pace of play was horrible. 5-hour rounds are no fun. Waiting on every shot. Maybe that's the norm for Michigan since their golf season is rather short. Play it during the week and it can probably be done in 3 1/2 hours.
Thank you for the 4-star review supered66. Hope to see you back out at Lapeer Country Club!

Course would be fantastic if they would spend a little money on maintenance. 4 stars for pace of play because no one was there!
Fairways and greens very firm from lack of aeration. Fairways full of weeds...tee boxes pretty chewed up.
One bright spot is the greens are fast...but also bumpy. I don't find this to be a particularly difficult course, but the lack of maintenance makes it hard to enjoy. Used to be one of my favorite courses. Like some other courses in the area: won't be back until they fix it.
