The Club at Brookstone
Played On 03/14/2024A Fun Humbling Challenge
Greens were fantastic except for my inability to read them. Riding the Finn Scooter was great fun and helpful for scouting ahead on blind shots and locating errant hit balls. Course layout very challenging with left hand & right hand fairway slope. Winter conditions still but worth the money. A great value. The Course just completed a covered driving range set up that includes nearly 12 bays each w Trackman monitoring (sooo cool), couches and tables in each bay to hang out w friends in a comfy setting and hit range balls. Set up similar to Top Golf without the high cost. Grab some suds from the GREAT guys in the clubhouse and enjoy a day at Brookstone because they got it going on! No, I don’t work there & it was my first visit. Lastly, tee sheet was loaded and all went smoothly getting out on time & pace was amazingly spot on schedule. 3:40 round for 3 guys playing first time.
The Walker Golf Course at Clemson University
Played On 05/26/2021Excellent Course
The Walker Course has everything us golfers enjoy... Great Greens, Fairways, Tee Boxes & Bunkers. Top it off with some Beautiful Views around Lake Hartwell up to the Blue Ridge Mtns. It’s got it all. Course is Challenging and Fair. Green roll true and breaks can be subtly deceptive. An enjoyable Challenge. Can’t wait to return!

A year ago this course was in serious decline. New Green Super has turned it around to become enjoyable again. Greens are in the best shape in years. Full and true. Good speed. 10-12 stint. One can see the work focus is moving to the fairways. Very playable and They are improving. Attention still needed between fairways removing highway grass & such. Its a fun little course that offers challenge with some narrow shoots off the box and raised average to smaller sized greens. Good pace... Bogey Twosome can play in less than 4hours. Very Good Course at a great price!
Wyboo Golf Club

This is such a fun course. Too bad all the rain has saturated so many courses this fall/winter. Great lay out with fairway bunkers on some holes and water on others. Lengthy and then some less in length. Greens in great shape and rolled true and speedier than they appear. Cart path runs across a number of fairways making "cart path only" more timely than most. Overall fairways were very playable. Staff very friendly as always.
Cheraw State Park Golf Course
Played On 11/27/2015Must Play Cheraw State Park
This is a gem of a course. Its currently in excellent shape. Greens roll true at a just above medium speed (9 stint?). Fairways excellent condition. Fairway Bunkers & thick rough make Cheraw an above avg challenge if not hitting fairways. Sandhill terrain with spruce and other various evergreens skirting Lake Juniper provide some great views. A must play in fall months. Guess thats why the staff answer the phone with "Its beautiful day at Cheraw State Park.
Woodlands/Meadows at Traces Golf Club, The
Played On 07/05/2015Great Condition, Fun Course
Played Meadows & Creekside. Fairways are in excellent shape. Greens are nearly healed up from being aerated weeks ago. Traces has done an excellent job keeping them watered. Speed of greens were just a tad slow, but true. Should be excellent in a few days. Course gives a good challenge and though greens are large, you better bring A game when it comes to putting. Staff always friendly & good to see the ranger out speaking to players & keeping pace of play in check.
