Fun Course

Links course. Some interesting holes starting at around seven. Ninth hole is very interesting, but tough. Can take some aggressive lines off the tees to carry trees, for long drives, on the back nine. Sloped greens are a little bumpy from lots of unrepaired ball marks, but true enough and fairly quick. Played in under four hours.

Interesting layout

Links course winds through the Biltmore neighborhood. Black tees have some very interesting elevated tee shots especially on the last few holes. Quite a bit different from the flat Adobe course. Not in as good of shape as the Adobe course, but definitely fun and worth the money.

Fast play and good condition

Played in less than four hours. Greens were in great shape along with the rest of the course. Carts are super fast with good GPS on-board. Course is forgiving with tough greens defending to still make it challenging.

Fast fun round

Played at 9:30. Got around in 3hrs 50minutes. Course is in great shape and getting even better as it dries out. Fun for a variety of skill sets from mid to high handicaps. Course is fairly forgiving, as most holes funnel back in to the fairway and most greens sloped from back to front. Highly recommend playing here.

Fun every time

I have played Silverado about twenty times, on my golf vacations, over the last five years. Playing between a 24 and 14 handicap. It is consistently in good shape with friendly staff and a good pace of play. I have found it challenging, forgiving, and fun every time.

Good for mid December

Course was in good shape for mid December. No standing water. Shotgun start. One of the holes was being renovated, so it was shortened. Hot deal on golf now was great. Included a cart. Both carts in our group were in terrible shape, full of garbage, no brakes, and wayward steering. Got around in 3:40. I would play again, but not for full price.

Fast Play

We cruised around this open layout, without rushing, for a total time of 3:10.

Course was in good shape and forgiving. Greens are firm and slow.

Staff is very friendly and helpful.

Find a deal to play this course as they ask $130, for non-residents, on the course website. It is good value, in the spring, anywhere around $60-$70.

Fun and fast play

I really enjoyed this course. Good for a wide variety of players. Fast play on a Sunday at 3:50, without being rushed.

Greens are slow due to some cross cutting. I think it may be due to a change of grass type as the weather warms up. I'm sure they will be faster soon, as the maintenance on the rest of the course was excellent.

A little maintenance required

This desert course has great service. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful.

Course maintenance is lacking. Conditions are like a cheap municipal course. There are tall weeds and the rough is really patchy in some areas. Greens were really slow due to some sort of cross hatching. Fairways and tee boxes are in great shape.

Pace of play was fine at 4:20. It would slow down, then speed up after the marshall went through and prodded the groups ahead. Usually stacked up a couple of groups at the park threes.

I'd go back, but only if I could confirm that maintenance is improved.

Flat track, firm greens

I had fun in this flat course.

Most greens raised up slightly with bunkers all around. Be prepared to play from the sand, which was in good condition. Greens are firm, so play all shots to roll out more than expected.

Fairways are simple, but needed to have the correct angle in to the green to avoid the bunkers.

The white and red tees are the same yardage on many holes, so be prepared to wait if the ladies are not long hitters.

Fun course

The Palmer course is great. Not too challenging. Interesting layout in the desert. Pace of play was fine, at 4.5 hours we didn't have to wait to hit. Course marshalls and other staff were friendly.

Great golf course

Good conditions. Friendly staff. Nice layout. Only downside was 4:50 pace of play, but it was a Saturday during spring break and spring training.

Six hour round.

Nice course. Scenic. Well maintained. Good layout. Longest round of my life! What a waste of time. Waiting thirty minutes for three groups to tee off on some holes. Waiting on every tee and every fairway. Marshall said that all groups were keeping up with group ahead. Problem related to seven minute gaps between tee times. Don't bother playing this course.

Nice layout. Tough when windy

Nice desert course. Good pace of play. Challenging design. Bring some extra golf balls, especially if the wind picks up. The only wait was in the snack shop at the turn.

Nice layout. Interesting palm tree placement

Nice palm trees. Interesting placement on some holes, creating a few challenging shots. Only noticed houses on one of the holes. Course set up for pleasing views from most tees and greens. Cart path only was annoying, slowing pace of play. Recommend checking ahead to make sure carts allowed on fairways.
