This is a fantastic course that could be made better with a little planning. The course hosted a tournament in the morning but it ran long, as is the case with most tournaments. They had a full booking of golfers to follow. There was a half hour delay in getting our foursome off the tee for our 2:28 tee time. The slow play was compounded by the fivesome (yes, a FIVESOME) immediately in front of us. As a result, we finished our round well after sunset - which was 7:58 that day. It was VERY slow.

The staff is excellent. We were greeted immediately and our clubs were hustled off to waiting carts.

The course is just beautiful and in wonderful condition. The greens are fair and true. The fairways are wide and well-groomed. However, the very slow pace of play was very disappointing.

The holes are interesting and varied. The fairways need maintenance and regular cutting. The greens were fair. The bunkers were hard and damp from a recent rain. It could be a wonderful course with a little work. It would be great to have a starter and player assistant.

The pace was slow. There were senior citizens in front of us. However, we were wowed by the ambiance of the surroundings and very happy with the condition of the course. The fairways are well-designed and generous. The greens are fantastic. We will be back!
