Up until the last time i played this course, it had been in a slow decline.
I read a couple of reviews that indicated it had gotten better.
I'm happy to report improvements have been made and it is in much better shape.

Fairways are neat and trimmed and the greens are in almost excellent shape.

As always the people working there a very friendly!
Very pleased that they are working hard to bring the course back.

I had my doubts about this course since had read both good and bad reviews of it.
I thought is was great! Loved the greens and the fairways.
Loved how pretty it was.

The staff were very friendly. And it had a nice restaurant in the clubhouse.

Both tee's and greens were elevated, so it plays longer than the yardage. I liked the way they do the
yardage markers on the cart paths.

Better stay on the fairways and greens because the rough is rough! Easy to lose balls.

I will keep this course in my rotation.

This is going to one of my favorite courses in this area.
Located on the Cedar Creek lake just east of Kemp Tx. a little out of the way
but worth the drive.
First let me say the golf pro there was very friendly and helpful. As was all the
people I ran into.
The course itself is right in front of you and is laid out very well. Fairly easy, even
though there were some tight lies in the fairway because of recent cool weather.
That said i really enjoyed the course.
I would recommend this course to anybody who wants to take a nice drive and
have a plesent day of golf.

I usually play this course once a month or so. As I tend to play during the week
it's never to busy.
It plays pretty easy for the most part, except for two holes. No. 3 and No. 12.
Three is a south facing par 3, looks easy except for the strong south wind that
never quits blowing! You have to clear the water that guards the green, I have a
problem with that.
Same south wind facing you on the par 5 twelve. There is a creek that comes into
play. But that's not a problem. It's just long and into that infernal wind.

The staff are always very friendly.

All in all I enjoy the course very much, except for three and twelve, but that's mainly
my on fault.

First time playing this excellent course. Located between Greenville Tx. and Wolfe
City Tx.
Really enjoyed the layout, a really pretty course. Out in the country, very pleasant.

Like the man in the clubhouse said, not a cookie cutter course. Challenging but
fair. A blind tee shot on almost every hole, but the par 3s. I found the par 3s the most
difficult.

Staff was very friendly.

The Old Brickyard course in Ferris, Tx. is a different kind of course for north Texas.
It's very hilly with changes in elevation on every hole. I found it to be fairly challenging
but fair layout.
The two most difficult holes for me where numbers 9 and 10. Hole no. 9 is a blind
tee shot through a narrow gap. And hole no.10 is a par five with water in play on every
shot. Also 18 has a blind 2nd shot.

All in all I would recommend this course to anyone who wants to play something
different in north Texas.

Lots of fun! The course was in excellent condition, despite of a lot of rain the previous night. Not a difficult course for someone with a high handicap like me. Despite being fairly crowded because of the holiday, play was smooth. All in all a pleasant outing!
