Portland Golf Course
Played On 06/25/2016Worth the money and more.
This course brings great challenges For the beginner and experienced golfer. There are a few blind holes and a few narrow fairways. Greens are fast almost like playing on the TPC courses. Very well maintained.
The North at Goodwin Golf Course
Played On 05/27/2016Goodwin
The course was in good shape for early in the season. Aeration holes were visible on the greens and tee boxes. The greens played slow because of this. Fairways were cut short and the second cut was just high enough to hide your ball until you were about 10 feet from it. There were water coolers throughout the course approximately every third hole. I would play this course again. Maybe tomorrow.

North Ridge Golf Club
Played On 03/13/2016Undergoing changes
The course is playable and in good shape for this time of year. The holes are different from past years. The 3rd hole used to be the 11th hole. The 8th hole is a par 3 now and the green was moved. Still a good play.
Gillette Ridge
Played On 07/30/2014Great course
Great course period. Well taken care of, groomed throughout. Cart path is paved around the course. A lot of visible wildlife, Rabbits, Deer, etc. Definitely need to play the course a few times to learn all of the challenges.
Glad you enjoyed the full experience during your round at Gillette Ridge. See you back soon!
Miner Hills Golf Course
Played On 9/7/2013Nice and tight
This is a great executive course. It is tight but can offer some great rewards. They were very busy when I played. The pace of play was dictated by the players rather than the course.
Apple Nine at Lyman Orchards Golf Club

This is a great course for those just learning and for kids. It is also a great course to work on your short game. It is a par 29. The 2nd and 9th holes gives you a chance to break out your driver.
Pequabuck Golf Club
Played On 7/26/2013Bring a lot of balls.
The course is maintained and the greens are in great shape. As long as you can hit the fairways you will have no problem. If you can't hit the fairways you will spend some time finding your ball. The rough is higher than most courses and if you play the way I do you will be hitting from the rough all day long. Some holes are pretty tight and don't leave any room for error. Others have very little room for error. I do like the course however.
Red at Tunxis Country Club
Played On 6/29/2013Great course for the novice or expert golfer.
Tunxis Plantation has three courses that offer 45 holes of golf. The red course is a nine hole course, the green and white courses are both eighteen hole courses. On 6/29/13 I played the red course. With all the rain we have had recently and more to come the course itself was in pristine condition. There was some water on the course but none in the main playing area. Didn't stop my ball from finding it tho. The course also acquired new carts recently but still do not have the GPS in them. The pace of play was moderate but seemed to move along just fine. It is definitely worth the price for playing here.
Thank you for your review! We are glad you found our course to provide a bit of a challenge and happy to hear the course was in good shape. Hope to see you soon!
