Nice track

1st time to play this course. We rode out Tuesday but rain prevented us from playing. Dan was gracious and invited us to ride the course anyway. We got there 90 minutes prior to our tee time to hit the range (unlimited balls for $6.00) chip some and putt a few to get the feel of the greens. It was cart path only but the late teetime(3:30) allowed us to play in 3hrs. Best fairways and greens we played all week! Some tees were wet but still playable. Lots of doglegs left and right. Lots of blind water around the greens. A couple of the Par 3s a little long for me from blue tees but not impossible. A couple of the par 5s unreachable due to water on either side and front of greens. The next time we play will be easier now that we know where the trouble is. Did not see alligators or snakes but did see plenty of exotic birds. Overall, the most enjoyable round we've played on HH in many years! My new favorite golf facility. Go early and hit the 3 practice areas (particularly the putting green) and experience a great golf course. Be sure to say hi to Dan.

Excited to return since last year. Checked in by member of s savannah state player. Very pleasant young lady! We had a 11:30 tee time but she told us clear to play! We finished first 13 holes in 2hrs. It took us 1hr 20min to play last 5 holes. The 3some in front of us made sure they took their time because when I asked if we could play thru, it got slower and slower. Poor golf etiquette! It was even worse to see them drive their carts up to the green, carts on the fairway when the sign said keep on cart path, and across the fairways on the par 3s. The fronts on the greens got really messed up because of the 3 clowns. Wish a member of your staff could have seen them....except for them, we enjoyed playing here again!

Fun and challenging

Gusty winds made for a challenging day. Hit a 157yd wedge downwind and a 7iron 145yd into headwind on 2 of the par 3s. Club selection very difficult all day. Fun layout. Will definitely play in the future to or from our week in Hilton head.

potential

Greens aerated 2 was ago. Layout good. Greens have enough undulation to make putting interesting when they grow back. Lots of kids playing this day slowing from getting around faster. Looking forward to seeing improvements in greens in the future.

rude cart boys

We arrived 6/7/13 at 12noon. A bus of golfers were leaving. We made a 12:40pm tee at Schoolmaster. We went to get our clubs loaded before getting a bite to eat. I asked one of the cart boys if we could get a cart to go get our clubs. He stated we couldn't but we could wait and he would shuttle us down to the lot. We didn't have much time if we were to get a bite and hit some before our tee time, so we walked back to the car to get our clubs. When we walked back to the bag drop, the two guys were sitting in their carts, feet propped up. My wife put her bag on the cart before one of the guys came over and strapped it on. I strapped mine on myself. Later, 4 carts were seen in the parking lot. I didn't say anything. Lazy cart boys!
