This course is a little off the beaten path. It doesn't have all the frills of the country club circuit but serves nicely. There is water on 3/4 of the course. it's tight in some places so being straight is paramount. Course like most in the area has just done it's over seeding. Staff is super friendly and pace of play is always good. Check it out!

Course was in excellent shape. Fairways were lush and greens were rolling smooth. Played during the start of a cold front which had me playing into a stiff wind on half the holes. Pace of play was good. There's plenty of water and other pitfalls. Staff was friendly. One of my favorite courses in the area.

Hats off to the grounds crew! The course was in excellent shape despite the fact there was a hurricane last week. Yes there are some limbs still down and some trees were lost. The greens were in excellent shape. As always everyone was friendly.
Give this course a try, you'll not regret it.

First of all the address that came with my GolfNow confirmation was wrong. It took me to a private house. Luckily it was in the same development where the course was. That being said, let's talk the course. The course is nice. You can see improvements are going on. There are 2 tees which are elevated , which i loved. The greens however where average at best. They look to be going in the right direction though. There was no starter and i started as a single. I tried to pair up with other groups but was rebuffed. As a result pace of play was slow. i would have rather played with someone who had played the course before. as a result i found trouble because i didn't know where any of the hazards were. Carts had gps which was nice. I'll play again when in the area again.

This course is a no frills excursion. I don't say that in a negative way. There are courses you pay big money for someone to unload your clubs, clean your clubs, all that jazz. Too many people savage courses with their reviews on GolfNow because they expect frills everywhere they go. I enjoyed my round. The Fairways were very green and in pretty good shape. Tee boxes were ok. Greens were puttable, They are a work in process. This course played long. There were several par 4's at 400 yards or better. Plenty of bailout areas but if your too far left or right those oak tree lined fairways will block you. Not much water, but the few ponds they have are hidden from the tees and will sneak up on you. Pace of play was very good for a Saturday. We enjoyed our round and if we're in the area again won't hesitate to play this course again.

I really enjoyed my round here. From the moment i arrived the staff was friendly and extremely helpful.
The course was in excellent shape. i was paired with a couple of members who couldn't have been more friendly. The course itself was a nice challenge. A lot of doglegs so you better be straight with the driver or play for for position instead of distance. Very little water for a Florida course which was a pleasant surprise. Lots of bunkers surrounding greens, nice sand though. I know that from first hand experience.
I look forward to playing here again!

This course was really interesting. I enjoyed the setup.
There were a some good doglegs and some interesting angles of attack. There was some water but not every hole. The front nine was really scenic and had no homes on it. The back nine has some condos but aren't right on top of the course. Fairways were good. tee boxes could be mowed a little closer. The greens were average. if the greens could be improved i definitely raise my rating. Carts are older but work just fine and you can maneuver around some of the rough cart path areas. I enjoyed my round. I'll be back!

Where shall i begin? The track of the course is very challenging. There is water everywhere and there are some nice doglegs. That being said, the rough is very bad. I lost several balls 10 feet of the fairways simply because the rough is not being maintained. I could see if i was way off but right next to fairways is ridiculous. The greens were adequate but need work as well. I overpaid even for golfnow. Clumps of grass in the fairways and palm limbs everywhere. A one and done for me.

I really enjoyed my round. My rating would be higher but the greens were slow and average at best. If the greens could be rescued this course would be super nice. There were nice elevation changes and some holes were very narrow. No water to speak of only one hole. I played in less than 3 hours. it's a shame there weren't more people out playing. I'll be back.

This course is really sweet. the greens are new, which means hard and fast. Bunkers have been redone and have really nice sand. The fairways and tee boxes were in very good shape. However the excellent conditions were tempered by the fact the pace of play was Awful! Our round took over 5 1/2 hours. There was no ranger to be found. You can't play decent golf with 15 min breaks between shots. There was no cart girl either on a Saturday! This is a really good course but the other factors hurt the experience.

This course has a couple of hard dog legs that are almost 90 degrees. There are a few holes that dare you to use driver when you should probably club down and play for the 150 marker. Pace of play was slow but it was a Saturday so that's to be expected. I was paired up with 3 other people and had a great time. I will play again.

I had a blast playing Ocala palms. This course is situated in a nice retirement community. There are houses on every hole. You need to straight or your OB or worse clanking somebody's house. Course was in excellent shape. Greens were sneaky fast and rolled great. fairways were very good. There are a lot of rolling fairways and elevation changes. Course is not super long but you have put your ball in the right spots. it's a good test. I'll be back!

This course is situated in a fly in community. On the tee box on #9 is a sign which reads, before teeing off watch for low flying planes. Awesome. The course was in very good shape the only reason i don't give it excellent is 2 holes were cart path only . they were both pretty wet and the the rough was deep. That being said the greens were excellent and rolled smoothly. many things can be overlooked if your greens are good. This course is tight. off the tee it looks like your landing area is bigger than it really is. You also must have the right angle in on the doglegs or you are playing for the fringe. All the pro shop staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. I had a blast and will be back with friends!

First time playing the course. Pro shop staff and starter very pleasant and friendly. Course was cart path only. I understand the reasoning but this absolutely kills pace of play. maybe use 90 degrees or allow players to ride in the rough at least. that being said course was in okay condition. Rain has hampered mowing. Rough was US open worthy. Greens not 100%. They were punched recently and that combined with rain has slowed their recovery. Fairways were good. The fairways are very narrow and driver is not always the smart play. Luckily my playing partners were familiar with the course and helped me greatly with info. Always nice making new friends playing golf. I enjoyed the round and will be back.

I played all 3 nines. Why you say because i'm a golf nut.
Let's start with the recently reopened West course. It was in excellent shape. New greens rolled true. Fairways were in good shape. South course greens rolled true as well. Fairways were okay. This nine is bit lower and all the rain has kept mowing held back i think. North course greens were poor especially #1. I'm sure new greens are in order for this nine. There has been heavy rain everywhere which hampers course maintenance. That being said it was enjoyable and i see it only getting better.

I was extremely pleased with my whole experience. Pro shop staff and starter were friendly and helpful. Got paired with a twosome . I always enjoy making new friends on the course. Course conditions were excellent. fairways were very nice. Greens were were awesome and rolled perfect. layout of the course is a bit deceiving and can lure you into thinking i can cut that corner, not!. Pace of play was slow but average for Saturday. A course this nice on Saturday, you expect it will be a little slow. I'll be back for sure and i'll bring friends.

First time I've been back since the new ownership took over. kudos to them and the staff, the course was as in fine a shape as I've seen it.Greens were smooth and fairways were in great shape. Had a rain storm blow up during my round and after 15 minutes or so was gone. Course held up well during the downpour and i saw no standing water after. I'll be a more frequent player here now. Keep up the good work!

I had a blast playing this course. A true links course. Once you start you don't see the clubhouse till the end. Green were fast and rolled smoothly. Fairways in great shape. I was put with a threesome who were a delight to play with. This course stretches out over big area. Follow the signs. The ocean holes were fantastic. Whatever your yardage take one club more on the ocean holes, I'll be back!

I arrived to find the parking lot almost completely empty. It was a Tuesday morning but thought there would be more golfers. A single teed off about 10 minutes before me and other than him i didn't see another golfer all day. The wind was really whipping and i guess that put people off. The front nine had the wind on most holes, however the back nine was into the wind and tough. There's a lot of forced carries and some were tough. On #17 i had to aim right into the marsh in order to ride the wind back to the fairway. Course was immaculate. I'll be back. Ocean course your next.

This course always surprises me in how good a shape it's in. Folkston is a small town and so you don't expect much. The Fairways were decent and the tee boxes were in decent shape. The greens were in excellent shape with good speed. The GolfNow rate was ridiculously low. I think if you try it once you would like it!
