There’s are 3 nines here. Avoid the North, it is short, gimmicky, and narrow. Hard to know where to aim on every hole because of severe doglegs and blind water hazards. South nine was quite a good layout with (mostly) straightforward shots and a variety of holes. Surprised to find bent grass in SW Florida but conditions were very good.
Biggest issue was pace of play. Arrived at the first tee 5 minutes ahead of our tee time and there were three groups waiting ahead of us. Complete mismanagement of a 27 hole layout. 5 hours later I couldn’t to leave. Not coming back. Better deals better course s for the $$. So you know it is not sour grapes, shot 81 from the blue tees on a 7.3 index.

Old Corscrew is one of the best and most demanding courses I have ever played. Every ground shot is high value, the green complexes are extremely challenging, and the setting is unique. I wouldn’t recommend it for a high handicapper (18+) though. Staff was very friendly but needed something more on course rangers. Disappointed that we finished at 4:30 and the grill was already closed. Bottom line: can’t wait to tee it up here again soon!
