Condition needs improvement

I have played this course twice now this year. I am concerned with the condition of the course for the money payed. While the bunkers are decent, the tee boxes and fairways are way too long and there are many areas with dead grass and pot holes. The greens are way too slow, and the holes are shaggy because they dont get changed often enough. The back 9 is in better shape than the front, but overall this course needs a new maintenance supervisor. It's definitely substandard compared to the other courses in the area.

This course used to be good

I have been playing Broadlands for years, and it's been going downhill for awhile. The staff is friendly, but the condition of the fairways and greens is terrible and getting worse.
The tee boxes look like they have not been rotated properly for years. Most of the grass is dead. It's sad when you have to look for a spot with grass to tee your ball on. Also, the tee boxes are loaded with broken tees.
The fairways are half dead (literally), and the greens are shaggy and full of holes.
I used to love this place, but it has gotten so bad that I think I'm just going to go elsewhere.

Decent layout, but rain took its toll

I played this course on a Sunday morning. It was pretty busy, but decently organized. The course is a decent layout, but recent rain destroyed the bunkers. There are several areas of pretty severe winter kill as well. Overall, the greens were in pretty good shape. Fairways were a little shaggy, but that could also be due to the recent rain.
I like this course, but would avoid the food concessions unless you are just looking for a hot dog or a drink. The concessions are understaffed, and it seriously shows with any cooked food. Stick to the easy stuff.

This course is a gem!

I love this course. Pristine condition, friendly staff, and can be as difficult as you want with multiple tees to choose from. A lot of deep fescue grass, which is punishing, but nice wide fairways give you a fair chance. Links style course, with few trees, so the wind is a big factor. Love the dog legs and the risk/reward features of many of the holes. This course is very nice, and affordable. Much like Broadlands and the Oaks.
