Eagle Vines Golf Club
Played On 02/17/2021The golf cart broken
The brake on the cart would not work. The tees were gouged and barren of grass. But the greens were good. The course is making record profits with all players but where is that money going?
Brentwood Golf Club - Creekside/Hillside Course
Played On 12/03/2020The course conditions are deteriorating
Five years the course was much better conditions. The tees really had not grass growing. Dead brown spots in the fairway. The course sand traps have not been rakes
But the course is fully booked every day. A great deal of play. The money does not appear to be going to course upkeep

Swenson Golf at Swenson Park Golf Course
Played On 04/30/2020After the shutdown
The fairways were in pretty good shape after they shut down the greens were a little overwatered but they were OK.

Brentwood Golf Club - Creekside/Hillside Course
Played On 12/03/2018A bad round
The starter paired me with a group then the starter allowed the group to leave without me.
When I arrived on time to play the starter drove me to the second hole and told me to just play with the group any way. This is bad even for a muni course.
Delta View Golf Course
Played On 01/05/2018playing in the rain
It was raining lightly, The pace of play was good. Then the golf cart died on the 14th hole and I had to walk the rest of the round in the rain. Then they argued with me about my $3 key deposit because I did not have the key.
the bad thing about the course is they allow people start out on 1 or 10. This means you could finish up on 9 only to find you are stuck behind a slow four some
Hiddenbrooke Golf Club
Played On 10/18/2016short but will designed
The greens are in real good shape. The ball rolls smooth. The fairways are ok but the tee box are as dug up as a baseball diamond. The course is a beautiful design by Palmer although it is very short for being modern. The white tees would be women tees at other places. I played during the week but the weekends can be real slow. A good deal for the money. If you think you are ready play the back tees on a windy day.
Canyon Lakes Golf Course & Brewery
Played On 10/10/2016short and tricky
This very short course plays tricky with lots of tight doglegs and uphill shots to fairly protected greens. The greens run slow but have a great deal of brake. It is not a course to try to over power since the fairways get narrow around 240. A patient straight hitter will love it. Surrounded by quiet neighborhoods in the hills. I got a good deal on golf now.
If you want to play more challenging short course try Mare Island.
Delta View Golf Course
Played On 08/25/2016delta- slowly aging
This course was much more challenging before the advent of the PROV1. Now it plays somewhat short even from the blue tees. They need to add another 700 yards. If they did would even challenge harding park. The basic layout on the back is excellent. The greens are in real good shape. There are dried out hard pan areas in the fairway but that is expected in the summer. Overall, it is worth playing from the blue tees. If you play the white tees and are under 70--"Shame on You!"
Diablo Creek Golf Course
Played On 08/15/2016good but over priced
playing the blue tees in the wind makes this course truly a worthwhile challenge. The 3rd whole par 5 is 600 yards and plays about about 660 when the wind is blowing. The next part 3 played 228 (range finder) from the blue tees. From the white tees it is way to short
for some reason the management would rather have no one playing before reducing the rates from $42. It is over priced during the week. They could make a lot more for the city by dropping the rates and increasing play
Someone needs to audit the driving range revenues and the $5 key deposits refunds.
I totally agree with the prices there. I used to play there all the time. They can make more money if they lower the green fees. I have been driving past the golf course for the last 10 years. Now when I drive by I hardly see anyone playing there it's Diablo Creek not the Olympic club!!!! drop your rates.
Blue Rock Springs Golf Course - East
Played On 04/21/2016no a bad deal
It is an older "short" course designed before the advent of the ProV1. It really a second shot course. The greens were in fairly good shape, the tee boxes were ok. The pace of play is slow. They allow 5 and they let people tee off both 1 and 10.
The service is poor. The guy at the front desk wanted me to pay twice. I paid on line but he said he saw no record I paid on golfnow. It was unusual because he saw my reservation on the system. Good thing I printed out the online receipt.
Chardonnay Golf Club
Played On 04/13/2016greens are still recovering
The greens are still slow after being punched a couple of weeks ago. the tee boxes are good unless you play from the white where the turf is worn. The practice facilities are real good. Range balls are good and offer real turf. The practice green is very good.
As always playing in the center of a chardonnay vineyard is one of the best golf experiences in the bay area. TIP: Play when it is windy. No one plays out there in the wind. The 18th hole should really be a par 4 and not a 5.
