This course has fallen from grace. It has been a while since I last played here and at that time it was in great shape at a decent price. Now this place is in terrible shape at almost double the cost. Tee boxes were in poor shape causing the tee markers to be a narrow motorcycle parking space. Greens were shaggy as carpets in the 70’s, and with dead spots interspersed around and in between your ball and the hole. The holes look like they haven’t been recut for months. Hope you aren’t thirsty because No beverage service on the course and the most expensive 6 packs you’ve ever come across for domestics. It’s sad when the best thing you have to say is that the bunkers had great sand. I won’t be coming back here until it’s under a management that understands how to run a successful attractive product. Wish I had more hands to give it more than two thumbs down.

Slow play. Marshall is nowhere to be found. Not fun.

Pace of play was awful. There was a senior Chinese tournament in front of me that I wasn’t informed about. I got to the course at 1230 and was told I couldn’t start till 1315. I warmed up on the putting green for 45 minutes because I refuse to warm up on mats at the driving range. I only saw one group tee off in that time. WTF. When I did get started the fairways were in poor shape and I didn’t even attempt to hit out of the concrete desert bunkers that were being trenched, which I was also not informed of. The greens were in surprising condition, though very fast. I wasn’t able to finish my round because of the slow play tourney I ran into at the 12th hole. I will think twice about playing here anytime in the near future.

Best kept secret in my own backyard. This place was great. For the price it’s totally underrated. Greens were tough but true to read because of the great conditions. Even the bunkers were in great condition and that gave me confidence to get out of those with a huge lip. I will definitely recommend this course to a friend but will try not to tell too many because it won’t be mine anymore.

The course conditions improved since my last visit. I had a great round this time around. The lawnmower must have been fixed because the rough wasn’t up to my calf this time. I didn’t lose a single ball because of poor care of the course. I will definitely return here to my new favorite course in Temecula for the excellent value.

The course conditions were awesome. However I was hard pressed to enjoy them. The Marshall was very concerned with starting group tee times on schedule. Which is in my opinion a huge benefit because we started ahead of pace 5 minutes. This implicated a well oiled machine here at Oak Quarry and I wouldn’t have to wait at each tee. I was wrong. Immediately after the first hole my group of three had to wait 10 minutes to tee-off. Now we’re losing our looseness from our warm up and we have to hit cold. The Marshall came by to see what was going on. He went up ahead to remedy the situation we presumed. The waiting only got worse. Every hole we were waiting for the group ahead to tee-off. They were a group of three as well and it wasn’t there fault. They were a cool group. But the arseholes behind us were impatient. Hit into us three times to press us when it was unnecessary with such a delay far in front of us. The price was dropped to 16 dollars below what we had payed because it seemed the schedule was thin. It was too hot for most to play I assume. This had left a wait free period directly after the group following us. What’s the hurry in that instance. We brought our complaints up with the Marshall dozens of times with no remedy. This could have and should have been a better experience.

Does this facility own a lawnmower? The rough looks as if it’s never been trimmed. It’s hard to believe that this beautiful course is so neglected. I lost a lot of balls out there today and it wasn’t my fault for once. After finishing our round we asked why the rough was shin high. They apologized for the conditions and that they were working on it because the mower had broken down. Why wasn’t I told before hand? It’s very frustrating to fail at searching for your ball 3 yards off the fairway and failing! The greens and fairways were in decent shape too! There was a low correlation between those two and the rough. Very disappointed and will not be returning.
