Talking Stick Golf Club - Piipaash Course
Played On 03/03/2021Talking Stick Golf Club - Piipaash Course
Played On 03/03/2021Staff needs communication lessons
Staff at check in did not explain where to access range for warmup. We ended up at a “player development” area where we were told to leave. Found the correct area, but felt embarrassed for our mistake. No pitching or chipping area that we could see.
Spring Valley Golf Course
Played On 07/16/2021Good value
Practice area a bit ragged and unattended. Needed more water on the course. Had to wait for our cart. This is a tricky course, so not great for beginners. That being said, we got a good deal on Golf Now and enjoyed our round.
Orange Tree Golf & Conference Resort
Played On 03/01/2021Good for higher handicappers
Surprised to find a more traditional, flatter “Midwest style” course in Phoenix. Great choice for first day playing to warm up our game. Great value for the money.
McDowell Mountain Golf Club
Played On 02/26/2021Not worth the money
Such a sad course. We played two other courses so far on this vacation, and both were $50 per person less than this one. Greens were scalped in many locations at McDowell Mountain. Fairways were also patchy in spots. This is “high season.” Guess for this course means charge high, deliver a sub-par product.
Westin Rancho Mirage Golf Resort & Spa - Pete Dye Resort Course
Played On 03/13/2020Disappointed
For a “resort” course this is not in good condition. Many bunkers, and all needed much more sand. After recent rain, they were, more like mud holes. An overall shabby look in restrooms which also needed cleaning. Shame on you Westin for such lackluster attention to upkeep.
Annbriar Golf Course
Played On 07/17/2019Nice round of golf
Great value for the money. Some holes have a strange layout, but overall a fun place to play.
Mission Hills - Gary Player Course
Played On 03/01/2019Disappointed
Have played this course several times in the past 4 years. Several areasfor improvement: restrooms are dated and inadequate, no one explained how to use the strange device in the cart (wasn’t for yardage...what is it for?, course very busy and no ranger around to “urge” players to keep up the pace of play. Bought our round for a good price, but we would never consider a full price for playing this course. ☹️
The Ridge at Castle Pines North
Played On 08/05/2018Glad to have played with Golf Now price
Course was in excellent condition. The pin placement for a Sunday round seemed quite difficult, turning a casual round of golf into a real challenge. Would not pay full price to play here. Eating on patio in early evening was lovely, but wait staff was overwhelmed.

Range looked ragged. No water in club cleaning buckets, which shows lack of attention to the small details that contribute to a great day of golf. Need to add ice and water machines outside clubhouse.
del Lago Golf Club
Played On 03/16/2017Confidence builder course on forward tees
Multiple sets of tees make this a course great for couples or players of various abilities. Somewhat out of the way compared to other locations, but worth the drive. However, strongly suggest better signage on the cart paths. As we had not played this course previously, we had to stop and look around several times to determine where the next hole was located. Wanted to spend some $$ in the pro shop, but it was closed at 5:00 pm before we finished.
Kino Springs Golf Course
Played On 01/30/2017Historic and scenic
Must appreciate the history of this property previously owned by movie stars (and husband and wife) Stewart Granger and Jean Simmons. Their best friend, John Wayne, stayed and played here. Funky buildings from their era and a course designed to combine valley flats and rolling foothills holes. Really fun to play out in a rustic setting. No pretentious staff or manicured setting. Real old school golf.
Canoa Ranch Golf Club
Played On 01/10/2017Clubhouse closed due to fire
We have played Canoa Ranch several times over the past years. We were completely unaware that a fire had destroyed the grill and smoke damage has closed the clubhouse for construction for at least the next 6 months. No signage to direct players to the temporary "pro shop" to check in. Porta potties only restroom facilities available, and water was not provided "every three holes" as we were told. I believe that we would have had a better experience had we known about the state of the clubhouse before playing.
Copper Creek Golf Club
Played On 07/16/2016Course in good shape--environment at golf club not so nice.
This isn't a "real" golf course, since much of it is a ski area during the winter. Shabby "clubhouse" with indifferent staff who looked much more likely to be ski lift attendants. Bar/restaurant a bit rough and more oriented to young people drinking shots than to golfers wanting to have a drink and a meal at the end of a round. Other issues with guests walking on cart paths and inadequate signage to each tee. Much room for improvement.
San Ignacio Golf Club
Played On 02/15/2016Where was the course marshal?
Very slow play due to slow three-some and four-some in front of our group. No course marshal visible at any time. A five-hour round isn't appropriate for this course.
We apologize that you got caught behind these groups without a marshal - we can assure you that pace of play is a huge focus of ours and we take it very seriously. We can promise that next time you come out to play you will not have this same issue. Thanks for playing and we appreciate the feedback.
Tubac Golf Resort - Rancho/Otero
Played On 02/13/2016A must play when in Tucson area
The back story of this old course and the lovely setting, restaurants, and other areas make it a very special course. Tee placements make the course accessible for most levels of expertise. Could improve tee markers and signs guiding cart paths through some potentially confusing areas.
Haven at Haven Public Golf Club
Played On 02/06/2016Forgiving for most golfers.
Good for a wide range of golfers. Flatter than other local courses. Full of litter from high winds and goose droppings.
Thanks for reviewing Haven Golf Club, your feedback is important to us. We will have our staff and crews get that cleaned up ASAP thank you for looking out. We hope to see you again real soon!
Arizona National Golf Club
Played On 02/04/2016Great conditions for this time of year
We are in the Tucson area for two months, and this course was in the best condition of any we have played. Good course for those with varying degrees of golf skill. Forward tees are fun and more skilled player can enjoy a real challenge. Greens in good shape but quite fast!
Thanks for your comments, as we agree with you. Having played other courses in the area recently Arizona National is right there with the best! We hope to see you soon!

Should look at poor conditions in women's bathrooms on the course. Also, remind ALL players to fill divots with sand/seed. Course pock marked by careless players ignoring their damage to newly grown in fairways. However, our cart wasn't sufficiently supplied with sand/seed, so we had to refill containers ourselves. Also, remind ALL players to fix ball marks on putting greens. Some looked as if a hail storm had pounded them.
Thank you for your feedback regarding your experience at Tahquitz Creek. We have been in the process of improving all of our comfort stations to ensure a quality experience for the guest. We certainly share your concern and as well your concern for course conditions. We are kindly reminding player's to replace divots with sand/seed as well as to fix ball marks. Our Player Assistant's are instructed to help with the maintenance of the course as well. We appreciate you pointing out the gentle reminder as we can all do our part to improve course conditions.
