Glenrothes Golf Club
Played On 04/27/2022Glenrothes Golf Course -A Little Gem
We were pleasantly surprised by this little gem and were stunned post playing to discover that it was a public course. We were welcomed by the professional who was exceptionally helpful and informative. We found the course in good condition although the greens were quite slow. The course was both interesting and demanding and we found the second nine spectacular in terms of views and and exacting in terms of course management bearing in mind the water hazards/ditches.
The only crisis she would be a lack of sign posting going from greens to the next tees. I played off the gold tee when using the silver tees on the on the 4th and were non-plussed crossing the road after the 10th despite the professional advising us.

A really good and enjoyable experience despite a thunderstorm soon after starting. The course was very well kept and the staff were exceptionally welcoming and friendly. There were many memorable holes on the course ie 10,11 and 18 for example and the course was interesting and challenging.
If it is good enough for Danny Willett it is certainly good enough for us. His comment that his Masters Green Jacket was his second because he was Junior Captain at Bondhay Golf Club speaks volumes.
My partner and I are now looking forward to a second visit and hoping to go better but certainly not enjoy it any more than we did.
Finally it was excellent value for such a good quality course.
