PLEASE READ........We play a lot of golf in the Chicagoland Area. For $104.99 this has to be the most disappointing and overpriced golf course in the area. The tee boxes were a complete nightmare. Not a flat lie or clean place to tee the ball up, almost as if the tees have been in the same spot for a week along with the weed growth. The greens were OK at best, bumpy to the hole. I think 10% of the bunkers had sand in them and the other 90% were unraked dirt....a Pete Dye Course, no sand in the bunker? We felt we got had by the 3rd hole tee box....what an unsettling feeling. For a course like this and the amount of money they charge there is no reason for the carts not to have GPS. Not only would that help the players have a better experience, but it would certainly move the players along at a rate faster than 5 hours. Overall, Steer Clear of this place. They have a lot of upkeep on their hands and just because its the only Dye Course around shouldn't allow them to charge this ridiculous fee. Don't do it. Go play the Ravines across the Street at Cog Hill. It will be a much better time and you certainly won't feel as had as we did.

Total bummer condition. Couldn't even play out of many of the bunkers. I know we got a good amount of rain the day before, but there needs to be either a correction in price or communication with tee time holders that it's going to be in less that moderate condition.

Not only the green fees, but course drinks and food were quite heady in price. It's time to reel it back.

Greens were in poor condition. While I understand the virus situation I am having a hard time with how poor the bunker conditions. There were weeds, rocks and just an unwillingness to upkeep. Always love the challenge of Chalet, was underwhelmed this time.

Course was in rough shape. Disappointed. I think it was in poor enough shape to warrant closing it for the day while nature took its course to dry it out. Standing water everywhere. Large chunks out of many greens. A few greens just had dirt covering old hole locations...no grass? Certainly won't go back...

The value is NOT worth it. The course plays shorter the bunkers are a huge part of how this course plays. They are all dirt and dead pan now. Green side.....everywhere. I used to love playing here because I would use virtually every club. I won’t come back here until they invest a bit more into it. Put sand in the bunkers guys, they are what makes your course so great.

There are other courses that are better for the money. This place once again overcharges for everything.

Pace of Play was a huge issue. No ranger until the 14th hole....had to call the clubhouse to see what was the reasoning behind the delay. There are plenty of areas where a ranger can sit and monitor other than the 18th hole.....5 green/6 & 7 tee would be an especially great area where they could get people moving if there was someone imposing out there......But that is just my thought. If a 6 inch putt is being marked on a weekend, its time to say something. When the blue tees are being used by a foursome of 30+ handicappers something needs to be said....the earlier the better.....not on hole 14....We waited literally for every shot after we teed off of number 2. That being said, I'd imagine that during the week when the pace is up to snuff it is a completely different and enjoyable experience.

Always a great track, but this winter was really rough. Consider holding off a bit at this price until the spring and better weather helps improve it. Looks like they have a great opportunity to figure out where the ice buildup is and how to adjust for some better draining for winter water. It will improve and come summer I'm sure it will be the killer course we've all come to love and return to.
