An extremely heavy overnight rainstorm made the course very soggy. As a result, the range was closed and the number of golfers was limited. Yet, we had a very good time and nice day overall. By the turn, the water was draining well and the back nine was fine. Our 9am tee time was moved up to 8:15, since there weren't any others in sight. With noone in front or behind, we took our time and finished in just over 4 hours...

The course itself is wide open. Water comes into play infrequently, and only on truly bad shots. Layout is fairly standard and offers plenty of chances for scoring well. For the price, it was great. The fairways were OK and the greens were better. If it hadn't rained so heavily, could give a better rating perspective. Overall, tho, we had good time and would come back.

Brought 3 friends who were visiting from out of state to University Park for round. Course is beautiful and extremely well maintained. Great layout and challenging enough for my friends who are good golfers overall. We played the whites which was long enough. As testimony to challenge, they scored in low 90's when they normally shoot in mid to high 80's at their home courses. They were impressed by the lushness of the landscaping and the beauty of the layout. As usual, the staff was extremely friendly and all had a good time. The stop at the grill after the round finished off a delightful day overall. They were impressed.

The only negative was lack of gps carts, which a number of other courses in area now offer routinely. It would make a huge positive difference if these were available here. It wold take a very good experience and make it great!

Brought 3 friends visiting from out of town. Staff is extremely accommodating and very friendly. And despite all the water, the entire course lends itself to good scoring. Assuming you hit it straight. The only hole that's a little beyond fair is the 15th. Those that have played the course know what I'm referring to... Otherwise, my guests thought the course was lovely and had great time. In addition, as rather good golfers overall, they scored well in mid 80's from whites. Will definitely play again. They also got a kick out of water-bourne range. Overall, a great day!
