Quail Ridge Golf Course
Played On 01/14/2021Poor Clubhouse staff
Ok older style course, driving range stinks at 10$ per bucket, staff was very rude and we got the cold shoulder instantly for being Golf Now reservations. Pace of play was terrible, this is where old people play mostly I think, and its probably challenging for them, but not for single digit handicap player. Avoid this course at all cost, go across the River to Lewiston GCC and spend a few more $ and have a better day.
Desert Hills Golf Course
Played On 12/14/2020Fun course, great value
The driving range is ok, the practice greens (3) are all in pretty good shape. The course itself plays pretty long, a few long par 4’s uphill that 4 or 5 is a good score, a few par 5’s play under 500 downhill and 4 or 5 is usually attainable. All 4 par 3’s are different and fun. Overall the course is fairly wide, so u have some room to breathe, the greens are fairly undulating and the greenskeeper can put a few holes in VERY challenging spots. Overall satisfied with the practice facilities, tees, fairways, greens pace of play for the price.
St. John Golf & Country Club
Played On 10/13/2018Great value, Outstanding Greens, course to myself
This is a lovely gem nestled in the heart of The Palouse Wheat Country! We played on a weekend for 18$ walking (carts available though) and played 36 holes (18$ All Day Rate) in around 4 hours, only a few other friendly locals playing that day. The course is on the shorter side, but tree lined, fairly narrow fairways with undulating greens that rolled very true and were very receptive on approach, absolutely lovely greens. Some of the tees could use an upgrade, but only critic I can think of, we’ll be back for sure, no tee time required
Borrego Springs Resort - The Palms Golf Course
Played On 01/17/2018Very Reasonable Rates
This course is an outstanding deal on GN for around 30$. Great practice range, chipping and putting greens, clubhouse and restaurant/bar area. The greens fairways n tees are all 10 out of 10 in my books, wouldn’t want any better. Having said all that, as mentioned before no beverage cart, so throw a few “pops” in your cooler before you head out. Also, the course is pretty tight, rewards very accurate play. Not a lot of room to breath for big hitters.
Indian Canyons Golf Resort - South Course
Played On 01/19/2017Now this is desert golf!!!
Wow! Absolutely top notch facilities, pro shop, restaurant/bar, practice range/green and course, all 5 star! I wish I would have played here all five days I played, but I will know for next year! Very scorable course, nice wide fairways with lots of room to breath, not too long from the back, but short hitters will struggle from the front tees (the little older lady I played with took 4-5 shots to reach most par 4/5's hitting around 100 yards per swing). Most greens aren't too big, but the speed was perfect for the size, they were soft and very receptive most greens have fairly large sloping mounds draining towards the greens saving a few arrant approach shots. Houses are not in play (I hit enough of those this week)!
Desert Dunes Golf Course
Played On 01/18/2017Won't play here again.
The worst staff I've seen at a golf course EVER. A rag tag bunch that looks like they just escaped from prison. Poor tees, long grass n bumpy, rough and ragged fairways, small greens with lots of slope that I swear we're running 12 - 14 on the stimp. Watched a ball hit a green on a par 3 and roll into the water, a good shot! Waited 10 minutes at the turn in the bar/restaurant only to be told "it would be awhile, the hotdogs aren't ready" in barely intelligible English. Robert Trent Jones would roll over in his grave if he was dead, this place just sucks! Save your money, don't waste your time, there are lots of nice courses in the valley.
Date Palm Country Club
Played On 12/31/2015Nice little short course
Came here to work on my short game. I would play here again for the same price, wouldn't pay more than 20$.
PGA WEST Greg Norman Course
Played On 12/30/2015Amazing course
Got on for 39$ at 1:57 tee time, got there at noon and bumped up to 1:03! Awesome staff, friendly people everywhere! Amazing experience!
Mesa Del Sol Golf Course
Played On 12/29/2015Good Course for the value
Booked the 10$ 12:57 tee time, wouldn't pay much more than 15-20$ to play here. Course just didn't fit my eye, narrow fairways, but pretty good greens n tees. Would play again, but for 10-15$.
The Fairways
Played On 10/09/2014Not super challenging, but really fun
I'm a 7 handicap golfer and played here for the third time last week. My previous rounds were +8, +6 and the other day a +4. I like this course a little more each time I play it, fits my game well (misses to the right usually don't hurt) and not overwhelmingly long, big somewhat flat greens that putt consistent at medium speed but sort of narrow fairways.
University of Idaho Golf Course
Played On 05/12/2014BYOB
College course, so don't be like me and walk into the grill at the turn and order a hotdog and two Coors. Other than that, the course was quiet (on a Monday), the price was outstanding, excellent greens, great tee boxes, excellent view. Slightly shaggy and weedy ruff, but that's what u get for a bad shot. I will return again and again at under 20$ with cart on golf now app. :)
