Many issues. 1: tried calling 1.5 hrs week before for tee time, no answer. Charged $4+fee to do online. 2. Called twice day before tee time and put on hold twice 5 minutes 3: When I arrived the guy said Hi and I responded saying my tee time, Guy said Hi, I'm ////.
I replied again with my tee time In case he didn't understand. THE DUDE THEN STARTED SCOLDING ME FOR NOT REPLING "hi" BACK! Then wanted to charge me $15 each for playing before noon on their special. That's why I tried calling the week before to find out the details of the coupon. It was waved. I really would have been POed to pay the $15 because they were 20 behind the start time. Putting me at noon anyway. And it was cartpath only with no water on fairway.

Nice friendly layout and the greens roll really nice. No driving range but the two nets provides a simple Warm up. What I REALLY liked was the two chipping greens. One had measured spots every 10 yards. Very friendly staff.

I was scheduled to play the Orchard when I heard a group of 5 guys were missing a player. I volunteered and the "Tee" guy changed things and I went and played with 2 friendly guys. The course was in great shape.

I'm glad I ignored the other reviews that were posted. Eastlake goes through major punching in their yearly grooming schedule. The place was perfect. I had the first tee and we finished in 3.5 hrs. Wish I didn't have to go to a Thanksgiving meal then I would have done their $20 replay.

The worst thing is I had to go home and couldn't play River's Edge again. The only flaw I could see was that they need to take better care of their sand traps. They had grass growing in a couple I landed in.

First I like to say what a bum rap an out-of-towner gets playing here in San Diego. I paid $99 w/discount. The regular fee would be mid $40's. Well, I got an extra bonus when they waved the $20 for another 9 holes which ended up being 14 holes (a member wanted to show off their top hole on the course). The course was exciting, with challanges on every hole. If you're playing good you will enjoy the course. If you're having a rough day be sure to bring extra balls and go easy on yourself.

Pleasantly surprised how the conditions were after a day of rain. Little fairway roll w/ some water, greens rolled well but as expected poor bunkers.
