Course had received a lot of rain but wasn't that bad. Looks like they are improving their greens with exception of two greens. Course was wide open which allowed us to play without waiting for golfers in front of us. We had an enjoyable day and golfers that want to play fast this is the course for you

Irritates me when you book a tee time but don't mention that your putting sand on all of the greens! Not only did they put a ton of sand on but when players walked on the greens they left ridges. Not only did it hurt your game but we had to move stones the size of marbles. Terrible experience!! This is a beautiful course, but its all about making that buck and not caring about their reputation. They didn't even offer a reduced green fees, that proves where their priorities are. I'm very disappointed

They still have a lot of work to get their greens back, but the course is a player friendly one and enjoyable to play. They are working on the course and we did not mind making some changes.
We really had an excellent lunch at the clubhouse and prices were good (food was even better).
I will come back again

I don't know what has happen to greens around our area (Savannah) but they have suffered some kind of fungus or something, but the greens at Sapelo Hammock were in bad shape! The back 9 the greens were better. What I was also disappointed in that the course was charging full price and you did not get what you paid for.!
This is a beautiful course and I would highly recommend it but not at this time, Greens are important to every golfer and when they are terrible, you don't enjoy all the beauty this course offers

Their greens need work, but I was told they are going re-do them this summer. I was glad to hear that because it is a friendly course and good layout. They also need more grass on the fairways. I would tell people give it 5 months and the course will be excellent

greens were in bad shape and cut so low that dirt was showing and was like putting on your kitchen table! Course need a lot of work

I was very surprised that the entire course was in such bad shape. However, they did sent out a letter informing players that the amount of rain was the cause of the poor conditions. I was thankful they sent the letter out as I was concerned the course had changed owners and the course was going downhill. Crosswinds has always been the best kept public course in Savannah, and I will give it month and I'll be back!

This is a beautiful course and is well maintained. We could only play 9 holes before we were rained on. There was no issues getting a rain check. We will play this course again. The course is out of the way,(50 minute ride from Savannah) but well worth the ride.

This course is beautiful to play with breath taking scenery.! I wasn't aware they had aerated the greens which made putting difficult. But I went back to my booking and did see where they did mention aerating the greens--my bad The only other concern was that the tee boxes were not all level and there were a lot of bare spots . That was the same issue two weeks ago when I played there.
My overall evaluation of this course is one of the most beautiful courses I have played and is a must play course

Such a beautiful course! The only complaint would be the greens were very slow. Not sure if they needed water or cutting. My guess would be both

Fairways looked like you were playing out of the rough as they hadn’t cut the grass in sometime
I know they had a lot of rain last week, but there was a lot of work that could have done since the rain! The green were bumpy that made our round disappointing

I didn't check the weather before booking and found out there was a 70% chance of rain. To our surprise we got the round in. The greens were slow I"m sure due to the rain. The overall course was in good shape and all that played with me were satisfied and enjoyed the course

This course is well worth the drive to this beautiful layout. Fairways were great and the greens were a little slow but true. I will come back again and again

We got to course to find out that two weeks prior they aerated the greens but there was quite a bit of sand on the greens. This has always been the best public course in the Savannah area but with the covid19 I"m sure they reduced staff and there wasn't the same amount of paying attention to details as normal
I will play there again as it is a great course to play, just later after everything returns to

I enjoy their course but I only have concerns 1) sand traps looked like they brought in dirt instead of sand. Every trap I saw had tire marks inside them. 2) the greens were hard and at times they were fast and other times they were slow, no consistency.

The course is beautiful, but they had booked so many to play that it took almost 5 hrs to play. I don't remember the rough being so high as you had to almost walk on top of your ball to find it.We were offered to play Robbers Row course (there are two or three courses there) but the Barony course is the best so we declined

Course was in great condition and the greens were in very good condition. The only thing I noticed was the rough was higher than usual (I lost two balls because I couldn't find (or see) my balls
It would be nice if they would take time to fix their ball washers around the course. The water was muddy with no towels attached,
My overall evaluation was that this is the best public course in Savannah

Played it two weeks ago and they had sand on the greens, but today greens were super. The views on the course were beautiful. A must play course. Its a little out of the way but worth the drive

I played this course a year ago and they have made major improvements from then to now! The only issue I had was that there was sand on all greens, but in a couple weeks they should be in great shape. The fairways were beautiful and the only thing that was better was the views of the coast lines. It has to be one of the most beautiful courses I have played!! I will be back soon

The course (Robbers Row) was in excellent conditions with only two thing that they could improve on. 1) the greens were bumpy and did not run true 2) they need to have cold water and more of it on the course. The heat index that day was 107 and for safety of their guests should supply this important item! Our group had a wonderful time and will definitely will come back and play again
