There were two groups ahead of us with 10 people playing. They were drinking from the start and keep drinking. By the back nine, the pace of play was ridiculous. They had the beverage cart come out in the middle of the fairways. It took way too long to play a round of golf. They were yelling, cussing, and making fools of themselves. I would not have expected this to occur at the Raven.

I knew the greens had been aerated, so I expected them to be a little rough. I was not, however, expecting the fairways to be in such bad shape. Sometimes it played as though you were in the rough in the middle of the fairway. I was disappointed this time.

Nice course. It was rainy and cold. Part of the course is very simple. Greens in very good condition, with only a few rough spots. If I was in the area, I would play it again. It was a 1.5 hour drive for me. For that length of time, I'll go over to Stonebridge, which is also 1.5 hours. I simply liked it better. Both are worth playing.

Most of the greens are in bad shape. You can tell they are trying to keep them going, but it was bad today. I actually quit putting on several of them. Dead areas, not spots--areas. In the past, this course was close to RTJ, not anymore. I will, however,, play it again in the fall. The hot weather makes it hard for their greens.
We apologize for the pace of play issue you experienced. We always try to keep a great pace when having our golfers on the course.
