Played yesterday not my best round by far but was a nice course. Played here before and found it not as good as in the past having said that the greens were in excellent condition which could not be said for the fairways and other areas which were patchy, clumped and sometimes bald, devoid of grass
I would play here again although the price was not value for money

Played Chesfield Downs on 9/5 nice course, not too crowded or busy on course but car park rammed! Business and gym clients?
Course was very dry, fairways were bone dry and without water will be cracking up in no time! Bunkers weee rubbish, not much sand in many, rock hard underneath what thin sand there was, could do with attention!
Would play again, especially on a TeeOffTimes deal, not worth full price

Played this course yesterday very cold, bit boggy underfoot but that taken into account the course was in very good condition, greens true and well kept. Lots of work being carried out to trees and renovation of second hole. (Out of action, we were not informed!) course quite busy but pace of play was good. Car park to pro shop to first tee a bit of a walk and finishing on 18 leaves you in middle of nowhere have to walk round 6th green and schlep back to car park! Having said that we will return!

Played here before when in excellent condition. Played today, admitidly in cold winter conditions, found the course to be harder due to conditions! Bunkers were like concrete, course was frozen in places but on the plus side no temporary greens! Difficult to judge what was going to happen on greens with tennis ball bounce on some!
Would definitely go back and play again, course is well payed out. I suppose anywhere this time of year would be cold n frosty!
