My friends and I were expecting a first class experience at Palmilla. We were in Cabo about a year and a half ago and they were rebuilding the Ocean side course. The layout was ok but the bunkers were full of sand with pebbles like the rough areas had. We each damaged our wedges playing out of these green side bunkers. The Arroyo nine was much better layout but with the same bunker sand. For the money we expected better.

When we got to the course we were told only 12 holes were open. We were told we could start over after 12 to get our 18 holes in. There was so much construction with dump trucks and equipment running around us constantly it ruined our day. For the amount of money we paid it would have been nice to know the course was under construction before we got there.

To start, the developers by range is a must see. Great targets, music and loads of fun before you get to the first tee. The golf course has a challenging layout and the greens were very good. Fairways were a little thin but they had just punched them and I sure they will be great in a week or two. As I said in the title this was a great day at a reasonable price. Definitely a must play if you’re in the area.
