Teravista Golf Club
Played On 11/11/2016Great Course!
Course is in top notch. It rained all week but the greens were perfect. Little wet around the fairways but nothing to do with the course. Overall this course is in top shape. Very enjoyable course to play. Little on the harder side but nothing the average golfer can't maneuver.
My only complaint is much like the ones below. We tee'd off at 1 pm and finished at 6 pm with the sun setting. We waited pretty much on every hole. It was cart path only that day so it does explain it.
Hidden Falls Golf Club
Played On 10/22/2016Great Course - Fun holes
The course was in great shape. Grass we green throughout. they seeded the greens a week ago so they were a little hairy but still rolled true and stuck well. I enjoyed the course. Used every club in my bag.
For the price and value, I would recommend this to anyone.
Only complaint is a couple of the tee boxes are too small. Members should build them up over the winter season. Ex #12 - par 4 by the fence
Lions Municipal Golf Course

Lions is always a good time. Overall course was in good shape. Only downside were the greens. Little hair at time and had to hit it firm. Other than that it was green and lush.

Great course!
The overall look and feel was fantastic. Tee boxes were green and lush. Fairways were a little brown but its winter golf. They were lush with enough grass to take a nice divot. Greens were phenomenal for this time of year. Roll was pure and straight. Even the said traps were nice. I purchased a tee time at 2 pm for $28. Really good deal and looking to go back soon!
Holes 14 had a sprinkler stay on an was a bit flooded but the the hole is smiple to play around it.
Roy Kizer Golf Course
Played On 01/31/201680 Degrees in January
It was 80 out last Sunday, so everyone was at the course. Nothing new to a muni in Austin. I expected to have a 4.5 hour round and I got what I paid for. Started at 2:09 and was the last group to finish at 6:30.
Overall the course was not bad for winter golf. As usual everything but the greens and tee boxes were brown. Fairway was hard to I got a lot of role from the ball. Greens were hard and short, but they did have grass and were green. The ball ran fairly smooth and true except for a few times. I enjoyed the course and would go back for the price I paid. I went through golf now and paid $29. The course wanted $45. If that were the case, it would not have been a "good" value for money.
Morris Williams Golf Course
Played On 08/31/2015Best Muni in Town
I have played here numerous times over the past 4 years. I would have to say it is in the best shape I have ever seen. From tee to green, the course is great. Lush fairways lead to thicker rough. Ideal to keep it in the middle to give your self a chance to score. I played the course earlier in the year and the greens were spotty at best. That was in the past. The greens held great and rolled smooth. Great work Mo Willy!
Grey Rock Golf Club
Played On 08/26/2015Great Place for Hill Country Golf
Overall Grey Rock has a great course and facilities. From tee to green the fairways were lush and smooth with a thick rough making it a priority to hit the low grass. We played from the tips so the course was long, but it was manageable. Averaging 285 off the tee, still gave me a variety of approach distances from sand wedge to 4 iron. The greens rolled true and held perfectly. The layout has a great hill country vibe. Facilities were great as well.
The started told me that the course was in the best shape in the past 20 years. I wouldn't have any thing to negate his point.
Also, there is a video of us play!

Omni Barton Creek Resort - Palmer Lakeside Course
Played On 08/08/2015Great Hill Country Course
Overall the course is fantastic. From the tee boxes to greens, the course is well manicured. Not a long course, but challenging in its own way. Miss the fairway and you will be in 2 inch high rough. Not a long course, but precise at that. Green rolled true and fast.
I think the $100 green fee is a little steep, but enjoyed my time. If you are looking for hill country views this is your place.

Course was in great shape. Fairways were lush with nice height to the rough. Greens rolled true and quick. The only negative point is that the bunkers were dry. They did not have a lot of sand in them which made it tough to get out. Luckily I only hit one. We booked on golf now for $50 at noon on Sunday. Great rate for that course. To me it is worth paying he extra $20 to play there over a muni. Shot an 80! 3 over on the back.
Morris Williams Golf Course
Played On 06/20/2015Sub-par Greens
I am really shocked at how poor the greens were. Austin has been hit with rain all year and the greens still had patches and dirt. We did play on a wet day, so they were unable to mow the greens until the afternoon, but there is no excuse for them to be patchy.
The overall course was lush. I really enjoy the layout and the fairway to rough cut. Overall, it is still my favorite muni, but it was a struggle to shoot a decent score on the greens.
Lions Municipal Golf Course
Played On 02/21/2015Fun. but a work in progress
Lions can be easy and tough at the same time. For the amount they ask, there are better course in Austin.
The fairways are hard so you will get roll out of every shot. The problem is the greens. I know its the beginning of the season, so I am not concerned just yet. Give it a couple months and the grass will grow. I plan to be back in the Summer.
Jimmy Clay Golf Course
Played On 12/07/2014Worth the money
I went with 3 friends. I walked because it was 18 compared to 35 to ride. Easy course to walk. It was in the 50s so it was cold and walking will keep me warm. course was great for $18. Greens were smooth and fair. Fairways a little hard, but that's a given at a muni in the winter. All in all course played fair and easy. Only bad thing, leaves everywhere. For the cost well worth it.
The Golf Club Star Ranch
Played On 08/14/2014Great Conditions! Aerated Greens!
Course is great as always. From tee to green the fairways are smooth and true. Rough is a little thick, but I like it that way. They were in the process of aerating the greens. They were sandy and bumpy at times, but surprisingly still quick. I'd give it a couple weeks and the course is going to be in pristine shape.
Thank you so much for the 5 Stars! Our staff works hard to keep the course in top shape, so thank you for the compliment! We do apologize that the pace of play was a bit slow, but the rain did force us to be cart path only.
