Having read several reviews being highly critical of Augustine I was very hesitant to drive down from Alexandria. After playing this past Tuesday I must say the extremely critical reviews are kind of deceptive. True the tee boxes could use some work and in fact are being given new sod on several holes. The greens are smooth and roll true. There are some, not extensive bare spots in the fairways but calm down and move the ball an inch or two and find some Bermuda grass. If you need perfect conditions go to Potomac Shores and pay 120.00. Finally, there were workers all over the course working to improve the course. Drive down 95 and give the course a chance.

Course reminds you of playing in South Carolina low country. Greens and fairways are in immaculate condition. Well worth the hour or so drive to southern Maryland. Wind can’t be rough on a few holes.

Always enjoy playing Augustine because of price and challenging layout. However, definitely needs some TLC. Tee boxes are in need of serious work. This is not the end of the world in the golf world but it is concern. Greens are in nice shape and are very fast. Hopefully the

Take the extra time and drive down to Swan Point. Reminds one of a low country course in South Carolina. Great value and skip the 95 or 66 weekend traffic.

One of the several trips I have made out to BRS golf course. Well worth the extra twenty to thirty minutes it takes to get here. Price is great and course always in good shape.

Drove out to Blue Ridge from D.C. on a Saturday morning, snagged first tee time so pace was not an issue. Greens rooted true and course in great shape despite the huge amount of rain during the past week. Of course an added bonus is the fifty or sixty dollar price difference from playing in the DC area.

Played on a Saturday morning. Pace was great for weekend. Course in good shape for winter. Greens rolling pretty smooth. Fairway bunkers need work.

Played on a wed. afternoon, sent of the back nine, course pretty empty. Course has a few doglegs, so a yardage book would come in handy. Greens in average shape and somewhat slow. Not a horrible deal on golf now. Probably a twenty to twenty five dollar course in most of America. One big negative is I dropped my rangefinder in grassy area in parking lot and have yet to have someone turn it in. Guess I should not expect miracles.

Course in great shape. Worth the drive from inside beltway.

Played on Saturday around noon. Course played a lot longer because of windy conditions. Cart path only slowed play but overall we rarely waited on tee box. Course was in really good condition despite some heavy rain the night before. Staff and starters helpful and friendly. Course recommended if had for the right golf now price.

Played as a single, started at 6:45 a.m. Course is well kept and maintained. Greens are smooth and pretty fast. Course has a few blind shots and at least three short par fours on the back. Overall, has some challenging holes and is worth the drive and money.

Played on a Saturday morning, no wait at any tee box. Pace was great though out round. Course has a few problems in the fairways with dead grass but otherwise it is in great condition. Greens are firm and true. Cannot beat this course for the price.

Played on a Tuesday morning. Starter let me go out early as a single. Played in 2 hours and 30 minutes. Course in great shape and greens rolled fast and true. Don't know if always this windy on maui, but I played of the island three different times and wind was blowing at least 20-30 mph each time. Course is well worth the price which is not 200 bucks like the resort courses.

Played on a Saturday afternoon. Course in process of recovering from this long winter. Many challenging holes, small and protected,greens. Driving down route 210 and 301 is such a treat compared to 95 south or 66 west on the weekend. Pro shop and starter very helpful . Will go back.

Course is a nice challenge with several holes requiring less than driver. Played on a Saturday afternoon. Waited on every tee box five to ten minutes. Very slow play and of course no Marshall in sight. Still, one of few courses in northern Virginia that has a reasonable green fee on weekend.

This course has made an amazing recovery from just a couple of years ago. In great shape. Played around noon for 35.00. Marshall out bringing ice towels to players on a hot day. The only negative is driving south on interstate 95 with all of the road,work going on.

It is quite expensive during prime and weekends. Overall, nice layout and a nice challenge. The range is a negative with only being able to hit irons. Nets for woods.

Played on a Saturday, course very crowded for January. Course in average shape but, it is mid January. Cost of 24.00 made the day more acceptable.

Played early and finished in 3 hr 15 min. Water on majority of holes. Great course for price. Comparable to old corkscrew for 75.00 cheaper. Staff very helpful and friendly.
