There are lots of golf courses in Bluffton and Hilton Head. I’m a cheapskate, so I don’t want to pay $50-60-70. When we found a $40 morning prime time rate, that was the best option. And we were rewarded with an interesting course in good condition. Some bunkers are more dirt than sand, but many are good sand, too. Greens are in excellent condition. A good day for our group!

My wife and I are high-handicappers who live on Hilton Head Island. We're always looking for a good value in order to play more golf. We've always liked Rose Hill because they offer lower rates with good availability. For a long time, Rose Hill has been plagued with some bad putting greens. At this point, it seems to me that most are OK, with only two or three really sub-standard. I'm not sure why they haven't fixed the worst one by now. On the other hand, the greenside bunkers are in better shape than some of the high priced courses in the area. We enjoy the course as a whole. It's comparable to other Bluffton courses. The lower price seems a reasonable exchange for a only a few substandard greens.

We live on Hilton Head Island, but need to find courses that don't "bust the budget" in order to play as much as we'd like. Rose Hill fits very nicely in this equation. As far as "course conditions" the fairways are OK, but it's really the greens that have been in rough shape for a long time now. But...considering the lower cost to play, we have concluded that's only fair, and that Rose Hill is a good golfing value. The staff is friendly, and the brand new clubhouse is very nice. We've played most of the other Bluffton courses, and we feel lucky to have them available. Rose Hill is unique among them for offering a comparable course, but at a lower price. Just don't be too disappointed if you have to move your ball to a different spot on the putting surface.
