Played early and was paired with a two other golfers I did not know. Both were exceptionally friendly and outgoing. Course was in good shape and the pace moved pretty well until we reached the back nine where there was a short back-up. Amenities included lunch with the round and that was appreciated. Not overly difficult so I had a fun experience here.

Played in the early morning. Pace was fine, course was in pretty good shape except for the greens. Greens were in reasonable shaped but many of them had runs of damage on them. The course is not overly difficult so it was a good experience for me.

Terrific course and the weather could not have been better. This course offers a good challenge but one that is not overwhelming. Greens and fairways were in good shape but it was obvious that we were playing in early spring before things were in full bloom. We had a great day on this golf course.

This is a good course with a number of challenges. Staff was very friendly. It was an enjoyable round of golf on a very nice summer day. Anyone playing this course will find it challenging but rewarding.

Terrific day at the golf course. I would give this course a 5 but there were some damaged greens along the way. Apparently it was the result of weather and fortunately, the damage was usually around the edges of the greens. Otherwise, this is a fun course to play and the staff goes out of its way to be accommodating. It has some really challenging holes that require some thought on how to play them.

Had a great time playing this course. As the starter said at the outset, it is not a long course but it has plenty of challenges. My son and I found it to be a fun course and will definitely play it again.

Played this course on a Saturday. It was well maintained and obviously popular because it was crowded. That meant some waiting on the tee box but otherwise the course played well and we had a fun day of golf.

First time I have played this course. It was in great shape physically and offers up some challenging shots. Staff there was very friendly and helpful.

This course has excellent and well maintained fairways and greens, and it is a challenging course requiring precise shots and close readings of the greens. In that respect it was a fun course to play. Having said that, I have never showed up at 9:30 for a 10:04 teetime, paid the greens fee, and then be told by the starter that there would be a delay because the course was out of carts. The pro shop guy never informed me or the people in front me that there would be at least a 30 minute delay in our start time. That must be normal for the course because there was never an apology or an "I'm sorry, that's the way it is" or offer to reduce the greens fee. The day went down hill from there. There was a 8-10 minute wait for every shot until we got to the green which resulted in a the longest round of golf I have ever played. By the 15th hole and after 5 1/2 hours at the course, we chalked it up to experience and called it a day. Can't say I will ever go back.

This course is not overwhelmingly difficult but it does provide a challenge. It has a good combination of dog-leg holes and water holes and even holes with both. Like every other course I have played, you really do have to keep it in the fairway or find yourself looking for your ball in thick rough. Fairways are well groomed but with some holes there is dense growth after the short rough areas. The greens are generally in good shape though there were a larger than usual number of unrepaired ball marks which I blame on golfers who are not making the required repairs. I am not that good of a golfer but I enjoy this course because I can actually have some decent scores there. Good course for moderate players who want to improve their game.

Really enjoyed playing this course. It is very well maintained and playing those famous holes from around the world was pretty cool. It rained while I was out there but that actually enhanced the experience on this course. I played a comparable "replica" course a few years ago in Mrytle Beach and I would say Renditions was equal if not superior to that one. This was a very good golfing experience and I would recommend it to anyone who wonders what it would be like to play on courses they see on TV.

The course was well maintained and in excellent shape. Tee boxes were well done and maintained and the fairways were very well groomed. The greens were in great shape but could be particularly challenging with different contours and slopes. Gauntlet was a good experience overall and my son and I are already talking about playing it again. The only negative was a slow playing group two groups ahead of us whose pace resulted in there being four groups on the same hole several times on the back nine. The group immediately ahead of us quit after the 16th hole out of frustration. We saw a marshall once while we were playing but apparently there was no effort to get the slow playing group to speed up. But if you want a challenging course that is in good shape, try the Gauntlet.

Our tee-time was delayed about 20 minutes while two foursomes from a morning tournament finished their final hole but it was otherwise a good experience at Reston. The course was in excellent shape which I guess should be expected this time of year. The greens were very well kept, sometimes hard to get a good read on, and fast. We had a good day and I would say this course is definitely one of those Northern Virginia courses everyone ought to play.

Played on a late Saturday morning and had an enjoyable experience. The course was in excellent shape -- well maintained. mowed, and greens in excellent shape. Pace of play was good, did not spend time waiting for a shot. Other people we encountered were cordial and friendly. Course is worth playing.
