To be honest, we have now played both Palmer and saddlebrook courses. If you want a little more open area I would suggest Palmer. If you want to challenge I would suggest saddlebrook. Both are in excellent shape and both were highly enjoyable.
We are definitely coming back to enjoy both of them. There were two holes on the last three that had just a little bit of issues on the green that did not affect play at all. But you can tell they work hard to keep the course. Immaculate.

This is a course I've played several times throughout the years and it's always a good value. I like it every time. It is worth mentioning that the have move a lot of tee boxes to what I would assume is to repair the tee boxes. Some sideways and some forward. #11 looks like they punched the fairway and is a little chopped up.

Like I say, it's good that they are trying to fix the tee boxes. I just think it should be said so people know what to expect.

Greens are punched. They should tell you. I understand that it needs to happen but they should list it on golf now. There is an option.

I booked a hot deal on golf now for 3 people. No problem. We added a friend separately on golf now not a hot deal for $51 as shown on the picture. When we get there after driving an hour or more from Sarasota, the guy at the counter says the 4th one is $65. I showed him my reservation showing $51 and he said, 'we don't take golf now. ' They took the hot deal which was a prepaid. I showed him again the $51 confirmation and he said, 'take it up with Golf now. ' I told my buddy when I got out to the cart and the group ahead of us said they did the same thing to them. Nice course. Too bad they are gouging people. I don't leave negative reviews but there seems to be a pattern.

We played the turtle run course and loved it so much that we booked the Deer run course 3 days later. Both courses were an excellent shape and the price was ridiculous for the value. We will definitely be playing again.

I don't play executive courses much if at all. My buddies and I play all over the area at different courses.

This was a gem. If what you're looking for in a course is well manicured, nice views, fair but challenging and just plain fun to play. I think this course will give you everything you're looking for. Especially for the price.

If I lived closer to here I would play it quite often but we will definitely be back.

I always find this course very challenging and indecent shape. It's not a course where it's flashy when you get there or you pull up and they take your bags and all of that pre course experience but if you want a really nice course that is challenging and fun to play for a really good price this is definitely your course.

We played this course over the summer and love the layout but the course was still trying to grow out. This time the tee boxes were in great shape, fairways and greens were in great shape and we had a really good time here. They really worked to get it in shape for season. We live over by Siesta Key so it's about 40 minutes but it was well worth the drive. We will definitely be back.

This course is so unique to the courses we have played in Florida. Can't wait to play it again. We will be back.

This was our first time playing this course. The greens, tee boxes and fairways were in great shape. It's a very challenging course with some interesting holes. The greens are a bit small but not unfair. We saw alligators on 15 and 16. 16, I think is their signature hole and though it's not an island green it does give you a sense that you're shooting at one. It's definitely on our short list of good courses in the area.

So we have played this course several times. Over the summer they shredded the greens in an attempt to get the grass back. GREAT JOB!
We played today and the tees were green. The fairways were green. Other than a couple of greens with what may have been a bad mower tire that marked as stripe in it, the whole course was massively improved.
Will definitely be back!

Water and trees. Mostly water. But it rewards good shots. Part Target golf but has some open areas to allow you to drive the ball. Course is in great shape and the crew treats you well. Water range allows you to dial in your irons with instant feedback. Worth playing!

I played this course 4 years ago and loved it. Can't believe I waited so long to come back. It's challenging but at the same time is very fair. Play smart and you will have a blast here. They aerated a couple of weeks ago but it's recovering quickly. It didn't affect the round. By next week it should be in great shape. Staff was nice.
