Be real with yourself when you choose what tee to play.. i was trashing my buddies for not wanting to play from the tips but instead we played the whites.. .. we had a great time.. every tee i mentally took relief from knowing we were hitting whites ... tips is ia totally daunting task if your not exceptionally straight on the tee.... bunkers ans sandtraps are plwtiful and deep but qaulity sand helps.... staff was great... maybe to early in the season for a beverage cart coming around.... BYOB.. makes up for that:).. .grilled chicken sandwich is a great eat and go.. kitchen visible and easy to see that it was clean... again staff was great .. we were a group of 11

Great alternative to freezing at a range.. BYOB... warm.. clean.. i love golf.. 12 hadicap

This was the course i grew up playing and man has it gone down the tubes.. every tee box was basically dirt, greens were absolutely horrible, and the course took 5hrs and 38 min to finish..
Theres no denying the course gets alot of play..... but where on earth does the money go... surley not back into the course...
Ruined my entire saturday but i did shoot a solid 83 considering you wait 15 min on every hole and the greens not being maintaned (as you know scoring is done around the greens) up to standard..
If you dont have a car its minutes from the train ..... other than that theres no real positives accept for the staff A++ there super cool and recognize a real golfer when they see one..328 crush drive first hole..Birdie.. started hot. #arccosgolf

Spectacular course.. couldnt play the tips because they were under repair.. (THANK GOD).. COURSE IS SUPER LONG AND GREENS WERE TRUE. Im a long hitter and still had trouble reaching some of the par 4s in two...
I just absolutely loved it.. couple of holes i was erratic with the driver but because of the course layout i was able to play some recovery golf...

Youll love the fresh and reasonably priced cigars at the clubhouse.. had a club sandwich that was pretty good.. my buddy had the wings afterwards and i must say they were delicious...
Course is a must play.. worth the drive and the price...

I played for 22$ on golfnow.. he played the west course (red) in the past but never the East (blue).. He told me the west/ref was much longer .. I noticed the red is longer but longer doesnt always mean more challenging

I used every club in my bag.. im a long hitter so it was different from the typical driver,wedge.. more like 3 woods and long irons off the tee.. interesting layout

Really..... 20 bucks..with a cart.. Hot DEALS.... ii was told this couse needed a little work but that comment was off base.. this course had very true greens and clean fairways.. open room for us long hitters...staff was great (i was 20 min late)..

Country Club environment during the work week! Super quite, true greens, nice fairways, and a lot of fun..
You dont need a cart. Holes 9 and 18 are a tough walk..
Essex spent over 1m$ in renovations. Its made a considerable difference.. PGA type par5 #10 will keep you interested.. make sure to take a look back down the fairway once on the green.. Great selfie!!!!!
For some reason they have OB on 11.12.13.. doesnt make sense!!! Course is tooooo tight for that
